This guy is still chronically underrated. This album is an absolute top ten for me. 👏

Why did we ever move on from the souls of the 70's? There is no comparison, they were the gods of music. Now we just spew out trendy junk one year after another.... Thankfully musicians like this keep the tradition...

70s were not the gods of music. so much bad stuff came out especially in the mid to late 80s

I'm digging the more varied production he's bringing to the table on tracks like this and 'Hollywood' without losing the distinct piano-ballad style that drew me in to begin. The vocal performance he gives on this track is kind of incendiary for Tobias. Plus, the fuzzy, aged-film aesthetic to this music video is completely his.

I was just turned on to this after watching a pbs interview... i don't know much about music but this part really struck me as ingeniously expressionistic: 2:45 with the chords and the waves both waxing and waning... very beautiful and powerful yet simple (so it perfectly describes emotional love) WOW! 🎀🎶 thank you!

@LordGreystoke9 жыл бұрын
+karen lnsy He's not that brilliant. He failed to impress at the Fillmore in SF where I saw him just a week ago. He played for about an hour, did not display any great musicianship, and frankly, did not put on a memorable performance.
@karenlnsy9 жыл бұрын
Well my opinion on that video is different to yours seeing him live. We don't have to all feel the same. You must have thought he was good to go see him live in the first place.

It is sad that Tobias doesn’t preform anymore. His voice is beautiful. He writes songs for other performers saying preforming makes him too nervous and uncomfortable. Sure can’t tell that from listening too him preforming this song.
