I have the same situation. The offspring of my endlers have endler patterns on their bodies but have fancy guppy tails. Some of them look really nice though.

I accidently mixed them once and saw one hybrid with the spade tail in yellow and black, and a single hybrid male with a larger body size, but nothing as nice as your orange and purple ones! Please update us on how they are doing. Is there a reason you didn't drop guppies in the algae tank? Live bearers are a classic tool against algae.

I was trying to breed smaller guppies ...so I've used endler males...I wanted them to not look anything like endlers but just small guppies..and I have a few now.. problem is the small females may just have one or two fry..I removed the larger female guppies because endler males are relentless with the larger females..the tank is a lot calmer now.. I've found unlike my guppies the life span of the smallest fish is very short..my guppies live 3 or more years..these live about a year... I'm just leaving them too it now..breeding the fish any smaller will just bring problems for the fish..so I will slowly remove the males ..the colours can be amazing you just can't see it on video..and you really can't judge how small the fish are..because they are perfectly formed fish..

Thanks for the comments Lily! That's really interesting. I'm curious to see how my endler/guppy hybrids will turn out. I love the colors and patterns that endlers have. They are so cool!

I keep a 4ft 55gal with a endler male and multiple types of male fancy guppie and multiple diffrent types of female fancy guppie and so far I'm having some of the hardiest fish ever and so many gorgeous colour variations no deformations in any way

That's awesome! I've always wanted to do a big guppy tank

I hope you are selecting out some of the particularly stunning ones to line breed. They have such an amazing array of genetic expression but not all of them are as visually pleasing as those freaking orange and purple ones Tobias has going.

@@TobiasHolenstein I'm breeding out the stock for a 55 gallon planted with red velvet swordtails and green Moscow guppies. What kind of guppies would you put in a big tank?
@michaelfleming97573 ай бұрын
I bred male endler with female guppy, to create a hardy aquarium fish, they looked like a colorful guppy with a small or double sword tail, they we're hardy and I back bred them with guppy fish.

Over the years I have seen endlers sold as fancy guppies.I don't think that there are half as many pet stores as there was years ago and the ones that wr do have tend to be big chain stores so it's less likely to see now. I miss all the small stores.

Yeah that's true, we had a cool independent fish store in my city that closed down years ago. Now I only know of a couple independent fish stores that are still open

I’ve learned that adding a cup of organic potting soil topped off by gravel will virtually illuminate algae issues because the soil releases Co2 and tannins. I got no algae issues
@TobiasHolenstein2 жыл бұрын
That's interesting. What kind of soil do you use? I can imagine that the Co2 can promote growth for your plants which will out-compete algae for nutrients. Is that the reason?
@povertyiscreated22652 жыл бұрын
@@TobiasHolenstein I just grabbed a yellow bag off the shelf at Home Depot that said organic potting soil on it, it wasn’t miracle grow, but you can use any organic soil brand. The soil and Co2 does promote growth and competitiveness with algae, but I’ve also learned from my other tanks without dirt or co2 that an imbalance occurs despite having tons of plants 🪴, so it really is the dirt mostly keeping everything Nice looking. What also helps a ton is low flow, I have a HOB filter that I cranked to the lowest setting, more water flow equals more algae.
@hummingbird3771 Жыл бұрын
Is the dirt contained in the cup, or are you dirting your tanks?

Hey, just discovered your channel by searching for some mic reviews. I know my question is not related to this video but Can you please help me choose between these 2 microphones according to their price here in my country. Maono AU-PM461TR - 25.34 USD Maono AU-A04TR - 26.67 USB As the prices are almost same, which one should I buy according to the specifications and sound quality.
@TobiasHolenstein3 жыл бұрын
So I think the audio quality is pretty similar for both of them, but right now I think I would recommend the Maono AU-PM461TR, because at some point in 2020 Maono started putting a different chip in the A04 microphones and I'm not sure if they are still using that chip or if they went back to the original chip. So for that reason I would recommend the Maono AU-PM461TR

With Bison family its the same situation.Bison bison - North american Bison, and Bison Bonasus - European Bison.Two different spiecies , the same family.Both can interbreed with each other. In most cases female offspring is not sterile, but allmost all male offspring are.In the second generation, crossing half blood female later on with pureblood Bonasus or Bison, you have close to 100% fertile babies .In 3 rd generation all are fertile.

Why you should let young males and females grow up separately.T his applies to both normal guppies and Endlers You can separate young guppies 2 weeks after birth: the females already have a dark spot on their belly that pregnant females also have. If you do not separate the sexes, males can fertilize females at a very young age. And once they mature, the females will immediately become pregnant. And then you get a huge bulge. Then suddenly you are a millionaire... Millions of guppies... Females that grow up virginally for five months grow larger and have more young per female, if you let them be mated by the male you want young from
