Had one of these on Sunday in Huddersfield - more expensive on a Sunday but you get 5 meats, Beef, Lamb, Pork, Gammon and Turkey. Decent price and keeps you full all day!

First class as usual shame u couldn't have a beer with it. The secret to a oaf size portion is the construction strategy. My top tip is to stuff the Yorkie into the top of the mash and you can then load more into the Yorkie. Never underestimate the loading capacity of a empty Yorkie. Also take the time whilst getting your meat served to spy out a large capacity Yorkie and to insist on that one 👍👌

Me and my bro had a Wetherspoons Xmas dinner on Saturday, was terrible! Dry!, no pigs in blankets left! Mash was like chewing gum! Was a piss take! Sent them back and they said yes it was dry and they ran out ov gravy! They refunded us but wouldn’t refund the free drink we had with it! Went to subway instead! Don’t go Caerphilly Wetherspoons for Xmas dinner!

I'm an ex head chef for Toby. The Brussels and cauli cheese are frozen. The carrots and parsnips are fresh the potatoes are cooked in house the beef dripping is a sauce poured on once cooked brought in from Brakes, nothing special. The meat is good, its Mitchells and Butlers own farms, they get through so much in a year their buying power is immense. I left Toby because they don't recruit Chefs anymore they get team members there is no skill to their cooking. That mash is either swede or potatoe no ifs or buts you can't go wrong no technique to it. It goes in a machine gets mashed. looking at how quiet it is I'm going to say you are in early so the food would be hot. The stuffing is brakes own no better than paxo, no added herbs. Sorry to disappoint but you're talking twaddle. A Toby roast is bland boring and nothing special. The yorkies are cooked on site but it's a packet mix adding water. The best part of the roast is the beef it's rolled rib an exceptional cut when cooked right. The gravy by the way is a beef and onion powder that is meat free its just flavouring. It is unbeknown to the world vegetarian. The advertised vegetarian gravy is actually nicer and what most Toby staff eat. A Toby roast is cooked for the masses by people that work for minimum wage. They get shouted at by customers and head office for being crap at their jobs. They work their arses off for no thanks. This is not a real representation for a Toby.

I always find them just warm warm or cold at best and the meat is cut so thin a gust of wind will blow it off your plate. Its easy to see why the Yorkshire is so large, its to stop you putting more food on your plate ,not bad when its only flour and water lol. The gravy is gloopy , whan there is any as like the mint sauce,cranberry,ect there always empty 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂. But then for 7.99 what do you expect ???
