I run like you too. I find that what helps me to strengthen my spine during precision landings is landing on the rail with my hands as well as feet. Sort of like I'm about to do a dash descent right after landing. Do you know what I mean? It sometimes forces me to strengthen my back and send the hips a bit more forward than usual. Another way I can describe it is like I'm trying to do a sissy squat during landing. I just need to work on remembering to do that and not to stay in my running "chest low and forward" mode

Genetics are strong, very flexible and knows how to transfer momentum and absorb impacts. Only problem is he won’t last too much longer doing what he’s doing. If he didn’t tank drops like that on the daily he could well be training for decades to come.
@graygoodwill17993 жыл бұрын
That's the thing. Most likely what you're saying is correct, but truth is there's been no one like Dom before. Plenty of people go out and tank drops and fuck up their knees, but I think Dom actually trains and conditions for his landings. That being said lots of his drops are fucking preposterous and likely damage your knees, no matter how much conditioning you do. Hope he proves us wrong

Felt the sudden impulse to stretch the shit out of my flexors and do a bunch of deadlifts 😅
@TheoTanchak3 жыл бұрын
Walking is the most effective hip flexor stretch, it's the only way to get a meaningfully high enough number of repetitions to create and sustain effective length change. Stretching is basically pissing in the ocean (unless you're doing several hours worth), and even then, if you aren't supplementing that with effective functional use of that range, it won't stick.

Actually, Callum has some impressive hops too, I think he might be able to give Toby a run for his money in a standing long jump but with the run in I think Toby takes it.

@@usainvanrudisha1649 Callum is a beast at running too. his roof gap in asia is around 20 feet (6.09m). Thats a huge jump considering its from one building to another while you're facing death consequences. Not doubting toby, but callum's running pre has to be top 10 in the parkour community.

@@SuperScraper123 Callum's running pre doesn't look that impressive because of his more calm/normal body position while Toby looks very weird and wild with his bending back and fast running speed. one of the reasons is because of one of his parkour fails. Storror made a video a few years ago called top ten Storror fails, but they had to take it down for graphic content. He missed his foot on something and got hurt pretty badly (they didn't specify what eactly happened), but he himself said that he learned from that fail that you can't miss your foot on jumps. Sasha also says that it explains his training so I'm pretty sure that's one of the reasons.
