Hashtag United are a one-of-a-kind football and esports club, based in Essex, England. Formed in 2016 by Spencer Owen as a group of mates playing exhibition games, we now play in the 8th tier of English football, the Isthmian League North. We won our league in our first season in non-league football and were looking good for a second promotion when the 2019/20 season was voided, but after the 2020/21 season went the same way with us top of the Essex Senior League, we were evevntually awarded promotion based on PPG over the two part seasons. We merged with AFC Basildon Women in summer 2020 and formed our women's team, Hashtag United FC Women, who play in the 4th tier of women's football, the FA Women's National League Division 1 South East. We also now have 40+ youth teams, reserve and development teams...and not forgetting our esports team who play FIFA at the world's highest level. Devs played the right team and the performance showed, he said it himself he's shown to much loyalty to certain players and the players coming in have been class, Toby adds so much to us it's mental, he's had no Pre Season either! Benoit looks like the CB we needed great signing

I agree with the analysis but i think Hashtag needs another striker option because George Smith has health issues as mentioned in the preseason video about the squat changes and i don`t know what happened to Joe Gregory. The new Striker should have expierience the level hashtag currently playing and i would prefer if he is over 30 and different type of Striker as Gregory an Smith because they are both young and talented and possibly could benefit from veteran striker. Agility, Pace technic are the biggest weapons in their locker. The new Striker schould be the complete opposite of both young men. A Player like Romelu Lukaku. Fast, tall and a constant threat in the opponents box. By the way sorry for my bad english but i didn´t need to type english since may 2016 when i finished school.

@@bonsai8958 yeah we lack striker options for sure, Joe is a DM/CM but filled in really really well today but I don’t think we will be able to rely on him as a backup striker! Joe as mentioned and Sam Bantick who looked superb when he played both moves on for lack of gametime, both of those would be a dream to have right now, Spen brought in a CB when we needed one hopefully he brings in a striker as well! Like JWL and Kieran have been playing striker this year and they definitely aren’t out and out strikers, definitely an area we need strengthen

Benoit and Peddie look like they could be a quality pair at the back. Haysom has put in a decent number of shifts in the team too. Central defence really shouldn't have been such a problem as it has been this season but if one player is out of position, it ruins the whole defence.

So proud of the lads!!! The ones who came in took their chances and put the effort and desire needed to get the result. It showed just how far off the pace nutsy is, as that team was missing key names and the defence looked far more solid without him in it. Joni Vukaj looks tidy, great communication and pointed players where to run and look for the pass and is a player with potential if given time. Man, it's easy to forget just how good Toby is. He's a hard worker who plays either wing. He's quick, technical, and can playmake for others or to score himself. He's got a great attitude, and is making a clear difference to the Tags immediately after his return, despite no preseason. Top player IMO. Also thought Joni and KHM were class. Between the personnel and formation changes, the backline was SO MUCH BETTER. Well done fellas.

Better performance and the defence was more solid then it has been most of the season. I think Dorling should be giving a chance he looked good in pre season and has been going well for the reserves. Haysom is improving every game

Love Spencer being diplomatic and saying half the squad was "injured". We heard Devs say they would be a reckoning at the end of the last game and he's done just that. I wonder if those "injured" will stick to the team as they are relegated to the bench or if they will take their talents elsewhere. Moving up a level was always going to be challenging but I think with realistic expectations, the Tags will have a decent season.

It's going to be games like this that will matter this season for the tags. They look a class below some of the better teams in this league and guttsy draws and small wins are going to give them the crucial points we may need, that and getting results against lower table teams, that's where the class will have to show. Great to get three points today, Toby looks solid and defence looked much better. We've seen Newby do it over and over again but this one was huge mr reliable for sure. Also mention to Harry Honesty for a decent performance too, crazy to think for probably his whole career his go to move is to outpace the defender on the left and whip a ball in and he's still so hard to stop.
