I just finished the book. it is beautifully and quotably written. however, what happened after the country vote? no ending? interesting essays on time but no ending? If you can ecplsin what I missed please do. I was also uncertain whether any of this really happened.

The implication is everyone starts suffering from collective amnesia. Read that as you want. I took it as the past not being the place they wanted it to be and thus everything begins breaking down
