I finally sat down after a hectic day and when I acknowledged Him, God just said: “Hush little baby don’t you cry, Daddy’s gonna sing you a lullaby” and I busted out laughing! I haven’t heard this song in years but loved the Spanish guitar and the video and the theme. One thing I never noticed: when the baby cried, the tear drop “plopped” onto the boyfriend/dad’s head like a raindrop wake-up call from God. Hence the split frame with the mom and baby and the dad in the bottom. Cleverly done. I missed that watching this as a pre-teen/teen.

This song reminds me of someone that I know that had her first baby when she was 17 and made something of herself. She now has three children, works full-time and put herself through her Nursing school. She realized the guy who fathered her first child was a "Loser" and wasn't going to support the baby financially. Also, she gave her life to Jesus Christ and is now married with three children. God does hear prayers. He makes the tough times in life and turns them into beautiful things.

I think that the lyrics go a little deeper that "Hush little baby don't you cry, Daddy's gunna sing you a lullaby." Hush little baby" refers to the fact that we are God's children and "don't you cry" means do not despair and " Daddy's gunna sing you a lullaby" means that God is with you and He will comfort you in your times of need. Awesome song!

I've been a fan since he was in DCTalk; I first heard him on the radio when I was in high school. This song and the whole album really helped me as I was going through my divorce, and I was feeling like quitting and feeling worthless, with a little boy to raise without his father around. It's been a long tough road, but I'm just now seeing the benefits of staying faithful to God and doing what's right. And this song really hit home for me. Listening now with a heartfelt memory. I continually played TobyMac on cassette tape in communist china. I served Christ there for 38 years and continue to do so but now from outside. Yes, while inside it was difficult but also easy. My children from the earliest age (cribs) grew up listening to TM and Irene. Now 67 years old and living in Hawaii, a retired Pastor/missionary I had planned to go to the show in Honolulu but that is the exact time my now 17-year-old son leaves from the airport to attend a construction camp at the Air Force Academy. Sadly we will miss the show. Seeing TM and the Diverse City band remains on my bucket list. Have a wonderful trip to Hawaii, Mahalo and Aloha.

I dedicate this song to my cousin, who, although we are no longer close and she called me Narcissistic, she just wished me a Happy Birthday a minute ago, and is the only one who has done so. Not my mother, nor dad, nor family that all live in our same town. We lost relationship after she moved away and as life happens. But, she had babies in high school and still graduated. She was a great mentor growing up, and my praise and thanks go to Christ Jesus, and Christi, my cousin. Although my feelings are hurt because it's my birthday and already past 9:30 am nobody wished me Happy Birthday but her text. I am thankful because I just read my prayer devotional on the morning pot. Not pot of coffee, not pot of weed, pot of urine and duces. I figured I'd feed my mind good while releasing the old farts and p's & drop the kids off at school; also known as; taking out the trash, spring cleaning; there's plenty of ways esentially to say, drop the old 💩 and make way, room, space, for new, fresh, light, and some brunch. So, with this on the pot devotional, I read from Joel Osteen, who has also been incredibly Amazing in helping me develop a better mindset. The good thing about books, rather than iPad or electronic device is people with Special needs like myself, or income deficient, or of a mature age and aren't so familiar with technology just keep life simple without need for batteries nor charge nor electricity to read the Scripture of Good News, or some devotional, my preferences anyway. So, the devotional stated, actually I was having difficulty with my productivity due to dehydration and need water more than my cup of Joe, or pick me up caffinee soda-crack, not healthy but I'm sure people if they compared have their own personal unhealthy habits and behaviors. So we are composed as individuals with something like 70% water composition within our body. It is very "important" to Hydrate so as not to experience physical issues, disturbances in thinking, memory issues,possible headaches, possible dry skin, possible stomachache or cramps, or well I'm sure if you're reading this or have access to internet at a public library, for us poor folk, information is available to be educated. Life is Temporary, life is lessons and pop quiz and review, if I forget it seems life reminds me, life is Trust in Higher Power, and my Higher power is Jesus Christ. I listen to this song sang by Toby Mac, and I think of My cousin. Of her ability to keep her faith in Christ even after teenage pregnancy. I think of Toby Mac, his interview, his son O.D. and I extend my condolences. I just found out last week my friend died of O.D. pills. There's no telling what will happen, but this is where faith; my cousin's youngest daughters name, faith is hope. If we have no hope we Suffer in life worse than people who have practicing active relationship with Jesus Christ or some Higher Power that helps to make quality of life better and in acceptance, honesty, openness, and willingness to be dedicated and be in agreement over the long haul for consistency and commitment, faith doesn't make a life for no worries, scripture is defense against worry, against negativity, against mis management of life and anything and everything to do with Everything. #16 I say as an inside joke because had I not read rule #16 there would have been unnecessary suffering and waste of time. Just like in life, if we dont have Higher Power, of a sort, we can grow up and agree to disagree and not control manipulate but own to our mistakes and quit pretending if enough time passes and not communicating in regards to conflict there's no chance at real relationship without taking accountability, admitting faults, say the words, I'm sorry for,,,,,Responsibility, love is more than money and gifts its the 5 love languages, a good informative reading material. The Purpose Driven life & church rick warren, joyce Meyers who signed my book Beauty for ashes, in San Diego in a Walmart she was doing a book signing and I took this old book because it cost so much to travel 4 hours away for her signature on her book. She handwrote, love Joyce Meyer. I volunteered for her in Phoenix, Az a couple conferences. One event I took pictures when she was removed and was holding up her red 👠👠 demonstrating a visual on sowing and Reaping and harvest in life. The other conferace she presented and i volunteered she invited her husband to speak and share his, Cast your cares on the Lord and savior and Philipians 4:6 is about worry. But I made her a photo album of the picture I took and bought her a few cases of water bottles for her book signing tour, "Buy the shoes👠 and eat the 🍪 cookie" never read that book of hers but sounds like an interesting reading material. 📚 📚 📚 of all books devotional, my favorite is theScripture. Bible instruction manual for Good News. GOOD news, Truth, historical, parables; Masterpiece! We are all masterpieces of our creator, our parents may not have planned us, or they might, ignor us, or play favorites with children, or disown us, or cut us off, or lie to us, but this is all written in scripture. GOD MADE EVERYBODY AND BEAUTIFUL ITS JUST WRONG THINKING AND HABITS AND LIES AND SCHEMES AND GOSSIP AND NEGATIVITY from.....worldly secular fads popular trends and worldly definitions instead of higher level peaceful and truth thoughts behaviors and habits. This is for all those people who don't understand why God lets people suffer, the reason is because the world is in sin and in sin people turn from God our lifeline. Suffering is God's way of making his people stay loyal to him because without it we become prideful and turn from God.
