That’s awesome man. My kids 10&12 got me into it as well. I’m not the best and don’t have the time to play consistently to get great at aiming so I make up for it by playing smarter than the kids. His videos have been incredible for that. Learned a lot about positioning, strategy, movement etc

51 here. Play w my 11 yr old daughter and 7 year old son. I am just as into it as they are, but I like to think of it as something we can all share and discuss and enjoy. Mr. Shinobi is an awesome mentor and I am up to 34 crown wins with his tutelige and playing my "smart" game (get storm, play the edges of storms at the end) vs. so many that just play all out hunting. I started back in October. The added bonus is it is essentially free vs. so many other pasttimes. Solo v squad win...nice.

@CrownlessDad nice. Do you play zero builds? Fortnite is addictive and fun to play with the kids. I have 4 boys , 3 of them play fortnite, and I'm trying to get my youngest some skins unlocked from the battlepass for when he plays. He prefers roblox at the moment, though . P.s I like your name.

That idea of walking away from a fight is huge. I'm constantly reevaluating that and need to keep improving. That mix of being active and engaging and being aggro, but not just making pushes that have a high chance of not being in your favor. I do like the timing idea as well. If a fight is taking too long disengage to quickly reevaluate and make your next move.

Started playing Fortnite for the first time in November. Thanks to your videos, I’ve just hit 20 crown wins. I play pretty casually, so I’m delighted with that. I still do struggle sometimes with being in a 1v1 at the end, as I tend to be up against much better players who’s fighting iq is just better. I’m getting there though. Thanks!

Yeah mantling in and out of windows has to be one of my biggest pet peeves, but I’ve gotten good at saving sprint or press A just before walking out of the window, so it doesn’t effect me too much but is very annoying if you’re trying to run away and it doesn’t work.

You're right! Work smarter, not harder. And thanks bc I've watched quite a few of your vids and it's definitely been helpful! I started in December, and I do pretty good for myself- I'm not the best with my aim so I play to my strengths, know my limits and have set some rules to play by. I win about 15% in ZB now( in the final 25 about 90%, top 10 about 85%), and it goes up every week as I get more experience. I get a bit more aggressive as I get more comfortable but I've a ways to go with my aim

I’ve found that business turrets are VERY strong in the end game, particularly in duos and above. The key is to drop them offensively in the middle of a firefight instead of defensively in anticipation of one - with the one exception being if a team is closing in on your position AND you can drop it somewhere they can’t see. Turrets stay up and continue to fire after you’re knocked, and I’ve scored kills with them while I’m on the ground waiting on a heal. You can also pick them up and take them to a new location when a fight is over, and you can carry two at once. They just create a big problem for the other players to deal with while also splitting their focus. Maybe try hanging onto on closer to the end of a match and see how you like it.

On your stream yesterday you mentioned a 249 head shot for snipers. What I think would be better is not allow snipers to add mods. Require them to have a 4x and single bullet. The ability to use snipers at close to mid range with the lower scopes and increase the ads make them op to me. I’ve never been good with snipers but this season I have won many games just because of the sniper and how easy they are to use this season.

Step one: watch Toby's videos, because that's what good/sweaty players do. Now, I'd like to offer an unconventional piece of advice that might not be for everyone, but has helped me tremendously: use and learn loadouts you LIKE. There will always be metas and there will always be content creators preaching about them, but since you've very likely not entering tournaments, try to have fun with whatever you're using (much like Toby said in his last video). My end-of-season loadout has gone from sniper/burst SMG/EMPs to Nemesis/pistol/EMPs. For all intents and purposes, it sucks, right? I found out that not only does it not suck, but I LIKE using this loadout, I feel CONFIDENT with this loadout and I won all two matches I played today with it. Know the strengths and weaknesses of what you're using and you'll go much further than anyone else would have you believe. If you are attending tournaments, simply avoid the Enforcer AR and the Hyper SMG like the plague and you should be good. And have fun.

Methodical masterclass from the master until those pesky windows made you look human for once, I watched Zemie mantle straight through the shuttered version, don't even need to wack it. So right about the flowberries, they are vastly underrated by most players Attack = FB + Auto shotgun - pretty hard to defend against, especially coming from a right-hand peek Defence / Scarper = FB + Shocky or Crashpad - well timed (angled) retreat, gets you well out of danger, slide on landing, rinse + repeat With the relaxation on multi-streaming will we be seeing you on other platforms like Twitch etc?

haha - I just wasn't quite "prepped" for it and felt like the frenzy was enough to catch them off gaurd... and I didn't want to EMP myself - which can happen if you don't get enough space. But yeah, definitely could have used it if I was going for that play.
