I've watched a decent amount of this series but it's taken me until today to realise that, unlike TOCA2, the driver names aren't on the back/side windows

Nope, it was a limitation with the PlayStation version. They are on the PC version, however. It would make identifying the drivers much, much easier than just from their numberplates

I'm surprised you didn't knew already, if you chase either Harvey, Cleland, Radisich, or Reid without pushing them off, they go crazy. It's actually tough to keep up 😅. Only works with those 4 for some reason.

@@justme7446 any series in toca. Theyre tough until you pass them and they completely give up. I stopped being ambrose in 3 just so that i could have a harder race lol

Yes, once you complete the main championship, the 'Showdown' is unlocked, everything is mirrored including the car liveries

@@UncleNewy1 Hahaha it does take a while to get readjusted with the track. My mind is so hard-wired with the original configuration, I spend the first half of a race relearning the ass-backwards layout

I didnt know i could make a "yt channel" from playing old racing games like cr*p lol. I play these games, but i at least try to be fair. The ai aint that hard lol. I really wish i could find a better ps2 emulator or just a new disc of toca 3. That game was the ultimate. Gt4 was better for hotlaps sure, but actual racing, toca 3 destroyed it. Besides cars that were broken in the ai like the monaro in world/n gt

Oh yeah I know the AI aren't difficult, after having already completed the main championship, the 'Showdown' is just for a bit of arsing about, hence the 'Touring Car Bowling' aspect. When it comes to proper sim racing, I'm an incredibly clean racer, this is purely for the shits and giggles. For me, after having completed the World Tour on ToCA Race Driver 3, I would definitely say that, for me, personally, the second game is a lot more balanced. TRD3 is still a phenomenal game, though, with the huge amount of championships available.

@@Dan-Bartlett ok ok fair enough. Tbh i dont like sims. I like a lil arcadeyness to make it fun like the toca series always had. Had some epic races vs the ai, theyd make you work for it. Polar opposite of gt4 lol

@@plisskenationbackfromthede3657 I prefer the sims but I do love a bit of arcade action from time to time. Ridge Racer 6 is brilliant, and some of the 'OutRun' clones on Steam are amazingly good fun, like Slipstream or Horizon Chase Turbo is another great little racer. So many to choose from these days, we're spoilt for choice! :D

@@Dan-Bartlett i saw someone else playing f1 95 the other day, maybe it wasnt you, i just assumed that it showed me another one of your vids. It was baaad lol. Cut every chicane at monza every lap. Idk how even, i do that and im down to 50 kph maybe more but 1st gear always 🤔 apologies. Unless it was you 🤣
