You're so right! The list goes on from the bills, the taxes, cost of childcare, the weather, the stress from work, high cost of living. But in all, I think what keeps people going is focusing on the positives.

You have just reminded about the three days I spent in Jos in 2010. I honestly attended Mass without taking my bathe. It feels like living overseas too. It's a lonely lifestyle in the UK though its still better than living in Saudi Arabia. Bills are nothing to write home about. No streets foods but there are Nigerian recipes in UK but my sister nothing of Nigerian food is here oooooo God abeg take me our of here. Childcare is another big deal that's why most nursing mothers bone working for about 2-3 years .

Been living here in London past 10 years....had enough of this boring and lonely place. Thinking of moving to America soon tbh. I remember even as a new nurse, my sis in America still could manage to get a nice studio apartment, a car, and could travel back home once a year if she wanted to! And people help each other as well in America. Their culture is more "open minded". UK ppl are so private.... if they don't know u, they don't talk to u!!😆😆 UK cost of living is not so easy as a new nurse/new professional tbh

Since you have a husband that supports with the bills, Is it still difficult to meet up with Bill's and still have enough to save?? Comparing with the Nigeria scenario, getting the average salary in Nigeria and sorting bills, and getting an average salary in the UK and sorting bills, which do you prefer??? Another question is....within one year of moving in to the UK, is it possible to invite your mom over so she can assist with child support?

If your household income is £50k a year and above, you and your partner/husband should be alright. Go for project mgt or business analysis courses then you should be fine. A business analyst earns minimum of £40k per year

Hi Tochi, so a job paying 22,500 pounds a year is not enough? What about other side jobs? Are there such opportunities in the UK like the US and Canada please.
@onlyfreshking5302 жыл бұрын
Elaborate more because I’m moving to the Uk to come struggle. No matter what, I think living there is way more better than in Nigeria. You think working in a Pos shop is better than just doing any random job there in the Uk? 20k salary, lol that’s like 25 euros you’re making monthly in Nigeria and yet we still survive. So how comes living in Uk is difficult compared to the difficultly you’re already facing in Nigeria.
