Predecessor means before, successor means after. Don't Starve Together is both a multiplayer version and pseudo-sequel to base Don't Starve, and came after it, therefore it would be it's successor, and it being a sequel explains why there's so much more to it, granted even base DS with the Reign of Giants expansion has a ton of content already, not to mention Shipwrecked and Hamlet, which are two entirely new worlds with their own troves of things to do.

Yeah, definitely had a hiccup on that part thinking it meant something else. Though I will say, the extra content in DS with all the additional DLC related stuff does hold up really well from what I've seen. My reasoning for that was I started playing DST first, so I figured that's where the majority of content was/is

I'd love to see you tackle DST, or DS's two expansions, and maybe try out a different character, as Wigfrid has a really unique style of gameplay, and some consider her to be easy because her mechanics kinda circumvent a few big things everybody else has to deal with. Overall, I really enjoyed this video!

Oh gosh no, I didn't take that in any ill way one bit! More so a fun learning experience for me and to use that going forward. DST is definitely on my radar now and possibly doing some more of DS. I do want to continue DS, but I also see where my second mistake was using wigfrid when I should have just stuck with wilson or one of the beginning few. I think that's why people sign up for the game/challenge!

oh I see you used Wigfrid, here is a small detail Wigfrid regenerates health while in combat so using her Valkyr helmet Wigfrid can keep herself alive even when the hunger meter is 0

I know i commented already but you should definetly try out hollow knight, i played that game and it was a true masterpiece, in my personal tierlist it was above subnautica and minecraft. You should also play terraria, its really fun and u can multiplayer with your friends or who knows maybe even the chat.

Hey man, just checking in. Although I do really enjoy your content, I haven't actually been able to watch it on account of you playing the games I got in a wait list (this, subnautica, ect.) I really dont mean to pressure or expect you to change it up from one single commenter's petty issue, but could you give a little insider peak to when hollow knight is up? I remember in a prior conversation we had (i got two!😊) You said hollow knight was on the line, dpwn past subnautica and the vr games. Any progress you'd let a commenter see?

It's not petty or any pressure on that question at hand here! Believe me, I get it! A lot of people have asked me for specific games that I said I'd do a while back or had planned and honestly I will get to it. I think the biggest reason for me why I haven't tried Hollow Knight yet was trying to find a way to work in a day/night cycle. Some games I can do it, but others a sometimes more difficult. I'll see about finding a way and what I can do. I haven't forgotten about our conversations or what I would do :P

after watching this, i can say that my hype was well placed. don't starve is one of those games where watching is just as fun as playing, others are for example green hell and sands of salzaar. then there are those which one would rather play themselves, like minecraft, valhiem(though i still watched your vids on it) or ark. then there are the ones that are more fun to watch than play. these include hydroneer( to a massive degree), grounded, pet arena, etc. that there is some info for you from a long time analyst. the vid was great, and i had a lot of fun watching. it is like every playthrough is different with this game, and is helped by a 100 days format. i would say that if you would want to see this one through, it will take around 50 more days( if you are doing major game tasks only). another one i would recommend is the rlcraft modpack for minecraft, it is so much fun to play, and not as hard as they say when you know what you are doing. sands of salzaar and stacklands are also recommendation, though the former will take many more than 100 days and the latter(excluding dlc) will take lesser than 100 days for sure. ark is good too, though that game is almost saturated when it comes to 100 days. sun haven and graveyard keeper too, the former is more of a use and throw style game which i would highly advice against playing wthout qol mods, and the latter is just a lot of fun. anyhow though, i will watch whatever i see this channel upload, as the content is quality gold. also, have you tried doing episodic playthroughs like drae or blitz perhaps? that would be fun i rekon. anyhow, thanks for the vid and have fun, looking forward to more! :D

It's great to know that you place your time well on this video and I couldn't more grateful to hear that wither. Definitely some games I find myself watching over playing just because of personal reasons or not being as interested in certain games I should say, RLCraft was actually one of the first 100 days related video I ever did and for whatever reason it just tanked so hard and people didn't enjoy it so much. With that, I took to variety and started doing these variety games that I loved and still do! YES, I would love to do a single focus on episodic video's to have as a little filler(but still fun) between the bigger videos. Just trying to figure out ways to go about it because I've realized that my commentary is not great for a typical Let's Play. If you have any idea on how I could slowly introduce more like that I'm all ears!

@@RayofpandasGamingChannel you have an rlcraft 100 days? ig another one to my watchlist :D i didn't know you did, i started watching with valhiem. maybe i missed it. as for the community not really being into episodic content, i understand. though most of us would like deviations from 100 days( or at least a lot of us, judging from views on your QnA which an exclsively 100 days audience would not really watch), but i understand that this content comes with specialisation in it only- see all the really big ones, lukethenoteable(minecraft), zanny zebra(ark), floydson(general), and of course yourself. i also see the same with those who only do episodic content- drae,blitz,fangerouslyfunny. and the game specific ones too, it is pretty much set in stone(examples include chosenarchitect for modded minecraft, watzee for unmodded,kage848 who is semi exclusive to 7dtd, etc. ) little deviation, however, is seen in syntac and mrmeola( both ark) and fixitt(minecraft). idk, a second channel maybe? idk tho i am not a youtuber. godd luck anyhow :)

Funny enough this channel was based on Minecraft and started on all that. Then I moved to valheim for a while and tried expanding in a variety of games! Yeah, I would love to turn those possible into a series for this channel, but I don't want to do more harm then not. KZbin is always a weird place with that in what works and how far to take things. What I should upload over what will do well. I have tried smaller video's and they've done okay, but it seems after a week or so they just die off completely. You could be right about a second channel for sure. Do you think I should create a new channel completely for a more episodic based viewership or use my live stream channel for that?

@@RayofpandasGamingChannel as far as using the stream channel is concerned, most you tube channels do not go off Scott free when changing the type of content. Even behemoths like ssundee, idubzz( rip the good idubzz his gf just poisioned his mind), and pewdiepie see decline of viewership when changing content. I would hence recommend a new channel which you would wanna promote on your streams and main channel vids, boosting it. As far as content goes, it is up to you and I ( along with most of the people watching this channel judging from comments and likes) like your content and would love to watch it. Fore warning though, I have never seen a non fily uploader succeed in that type of content, so do it at your own volition. Ofc the best would be to. Also most explosive success is nowadays most reliably seen with channels with some degree of their own twist to the content( like the spiffing brit for example), and most people who just do plain Commentery without personality go nowhere( examples are countless, just sort by latest in a youtube search instead of quality. One example I would give the shabby doo). Anyway, remember to have fun in whatever you do and you will never work a day in your life as they say. looking forward to it:)

if you want a bit more of the real don't starve (or DST) experiance the next time you play maybe try a character other than Wigfrid as they are know to be the abosolute easiest one to play as and play completly diffrent from the rest of the characters with regards to how they survive due to them regening health and sanity so easy and hunger can vertually be ignorded with the help from the regen

Watching you put sticks into the crockpot was painful. You don't need to put anything aside from food into the crockpot, even if it's something that appears to have a non-edible component, the game doesn't go that far into detail.
