"Above-average Trees don't really do anything." What? A good portion of this video is about wildfire prevention and seasonal mitigation! These trees eliminate wildfires in the Summer, reduce 35% Wetness from Rain, and set your max temp to about 63 in summer. They also cover an area about 9 tiles wide/high by 7 tiles on the diagonal, which is bigger than the flingomatic range. I still use a flingo as accident and fire-hound insurance, but if I'm basing on the surface, I do it where I can plant these trees. Plus, figs. Great vid. Love your KZbin and Twitch.

My Wanda base is in the center of two land-locked 'ponds' which I filled with like 12 above-average trees total. That provides me with an enormous radius of fire-proof shade to build in and a handy supply of figs literally everywhere! Wanda can teleport the knobby seeds (or whatever) directly from the waterlogged biome with her wormhole watch. Edit: The shade also hugely reduces overheating in the summer (maybe completely).

*gasp* how dare you insult my sweet child Chester, he's cute too! That MEGA BASE is amazing, esp the boss parts, like a museum. It's basically like, first you're thrown in the Constant and barely surviving, and you've managed to tame the elements, you've made it your own and you're thriving. Having a chest for every separate thing is a little ridiculous, ngl haha. Do you actually catch birds for each minisign? After watching you beginner guide I decided to hell with it, this shouldn't be as inaccessible as it is. I just console spawn the pencils, sue me. Also the fire farm is hilarious, oh my god. The lureplants in the caves are so clever! I wish I could make something like that, but when you often switch between overworld and caves, it resets the lureplant timer. Will they ever appear?

You don't. You make a small functional base (like the one in the video) then kill bosses, then you expand, farm bosses expand etc.
