Not a country music fanatic, I like all kinds of contemporary music, but when I saw this movie and got to this performance I thought wow, it just doesn't get better than this. Just the brilliant way that the scene was set up, in the country hotel, the cynical locals and the hilarious 'manager' and then the girls step up and do a simple standard C & W classic and just blew it out of the park. One of my all-time favourite movie scenes. All three girls really nailed it.

Atrax Robustus unfortunately it wasn’t that simple, we’d been through a lot together and he’s dragged me outta hell more times than I can count. However today I can say that yes I have moved on and we still maintain a close friendship. I ultimately realized it wouldn’t have worked out between us and that our life goals where too different. He will still always remain one of my best friends and I won’t forget what he’s helped me through, I just don’t hold the romantic feelings for him anymore

GREAT movie! Lived in beautiful Melbourne, Australia for one year (1979) and was VERY surprised NOT to see any Aborigines in the 'mainstream' downtown stores, public places, etc. Sadly, these REAL Australians were not considered worthy of mingling with the 'white folk'. Ugh. Not much different than our discriminating against people of color here in the U.S. LOVED these talented women and enjoyed the movie so much that I bought the DVD ... AND... the movie's Sound Track!!

Well considering that only 3% of the Australian population is Aboriginal I'm not surprised you didn't see many. You were also in the wrong state. Most aboriginals live in Eastern states which is NOT where you were visiting. Do some research before talking out of your ass.
