These videos do bring me smiles everyday I'm watching. I've been following this zoo for about 7 years. I'm bringing my daughter to Japan next year so I hope to visit and see them in person

When people watch your videos of the Animals especially the Chimpanzees in Tama Zoo it brings a smile to their faces and it puts into prospective the lives other animals have in the zoo’s of Japan 🇯🇵. If you just compare the conditions theirs massive parallels to how they are kept and what kind of lifestyle they have. Then you can also compare the state of the Chimpanzees these ones look in wonderful condition and seem to be happy and energetic, while others have little fur on them and walk in a stooped manner all the time and look as if they have bone conditions. I just wish they could all share the same treatment as they do at Tama zoo be seen as the majestic creatures they are and not a commercial commodity that others think they are.

That was strange with how ibuki was suddenly being chased near the end, was that because he was breaking chimp etiquette when he was acting like the troop leader and grabbing food before the senior chimps, so he was being put in his place .

Hi PB... Question for you - I now never see Bonbon and Gin together, are they separating them all the time now? Also, as of lately, I also don't see Max and Gin out together, have they also separated them too?

@kaspar9 After Bonbon attacked Gin when many female were in estrus, staff avoided to put them together for a while. Then staff started testing to put them together when female were not in estrus, and there were no problem. Thus, Gin and Bonbon comes out together time to time now. Max and Gin get along well, however for some reason they tend not to go home when an evening comes, and they stayed out hours after troop went back inside. Thus, staff started separating them. Recently I had a talk about them with staff, and they explained to me that they may start putting Max and Gin together again since they have no problem beside not wanting go back inside.

@@polarbearbluesky Thank you for the information, PB. Awww, i really hope they bring Max and Gin back together, they are very funny and good together and it's been so long. I always laugh at the videos you post when they refuse to go back in at the end of the day. Maybe they can find a solution to that problem...... I do worry about Bonbon however... i know the zoo is doing its best to try and avoid an attack, but I also think its not in Bonbons best interest to always be surrounded by females all the time. If this continues, my fear is that he will always view an adult male as a threat to him which is not how it should be. Every adult male has been exiled from Bonbon - it was first Decky, then Max, and now it seems that Gin is also the case. Pretty soon Fubuki will become an adult too.

@kaspar9 It is pretty difficult to put boys together knowing there is a large possibility of dangerous fight. Decky got seriously injured, both Max and Bonbon hurt each other severely, Gin also got attacked without any reason and ended up hurt, thus since this is a zoo and not wild, staff will do their best to avoid injuries to chimpanzee. Fubuki is still Bonbon's beloved little brother, thus they always have fun when they are out together. Bonbon is perfectly happy when he is surrounded by female without any other boys interacting with other female. Some viewers expressed opinion saying the zoo should let boys together and let them hurt each other just like in wild. Some zoo may do that, but Tama staff want to protect animals when they can when I talked with staff and they think that is what the zoo can do unlike in wild.

1:22:45 crying wolf before the boy who cried wolf could.. remember that when your doing that to dill, and remember dill doesn’t cry, bitch or moan when you play and chase him he actually makes you frustrated and makes you throw a fit and cry, and he’s a lot smaller as well… in fact I don’t even know what dills voice sounds like.. jk.. wait.. I guess dill doesn’t really run from you does he.. 🤔
