Namrata Shirodkar is an Indian actress and a former model who won the Femina Miss India title in 1993. Her popular works include Kachche Dhaage (1999), Ezhupunna Tharakan (1999), Vaastav: The Reality (1999) and Pukar (2000).
She made her Telugu debut in 'Vamsee' (2000) opposite Superstar Mahesh Babu who's also her husband. She is also the producer of the movie 'Major'.

I went for a scan in 5th month. They said baby has 3 cysts in right lung. We went for 2-3 more radiologists, scans and opinions. Everyone suggested to abort and i can have another pregnancy and im still young enough. They also indicated its a girl saying “girl baby with lung problem can be more bad to live”. Srinath - fetal analyst in Hyderabad told “stay put, lets see” The last 4 months of pregnancy went in total anxiety, kept chanting Hanuman chalisa to calm myself down, again frequent scans to check if cysts are growing in size. Finally c section and now my daughter is 11y old playing tennis. Doctors still doubt cysts might be thr, but told to address if issue comes up.

I have exactly similar experiences! Went for 7 month check up, stayed in hospital for 6 weeks and ended up delivering!! My son stayed in hospital for 98 days! Today by gods grace! He is 10 yr old😢

I have twin sons born in complex situations.. They both went through open heart surgeries... Then one of them went through kidney blockage situations... They r diagnosed with intellectual disability now... V r fighting every single day for their survival and there future... There is no support from school... All special schools are running for money ... Not for future of a special child... It is called " Placenta Previa" Namrata could not say that. It means the placenta is in front. It sh be behind. Because the placenta is in front , it wraps itself around the baby's neck. If the doctor discoverer it early, they keep mother in bed rest. And take out the baby sooner.

She's saying that the foetus couldn't breathe because the cord was wrapped around the baby's neck. Someone correct me if I'm mistaken but babies in the womb don't " breathe". They get oxygen through the cord,right? So how can the cord around the neck stop the baby from breathing? Please she should refrain from talking about obstetrics and gynaecology. She did not say the baby could not breath. She said his heartbeat was missing. It happens to a lot of babies. Happened to my daughter too and I had to go through a C section. It's just bad that for Gautam it happened too early. Babies roll inside the tummy and tend to get the cord wrapped around themselves. It gets bad if it wraps around the neck.

The cord can get a knot and it can cause no heart beat. It happened to my baby on the day of delivery. They could not get the heart beat. They started moving me right and left to try to get it to unknot. They were getting ready for c section, but my doctor was so so good, a older doctor from Finland, he got a normal delivery in no time. We had no time. My son is now 20 yrs old and a wonderful human being. It was a mix of everything together, I call it higher intervention and having the right people there at the right time.
