Its probably the usual, raise taxes, reduce services. There's always money for war, & increase in politicians' salaries, and their latest pet projects. All we can do to keep ourselves afloat is to take care of each other. Today, my husband drove around with about 60 lbs of apples and dropped some off wherever he saw a crowd gathered. He's got a few left and they are going to the pub with him, maybe there will be someone who could use some apples.

I too, am tired of the political world leaders. Love to all citizens of this world. The cool thing about youtube. An internet. As we get to see people around the world all saying the same thing. Frugal frugal frugal. While political leaders are sharing our tax dollars around with each other. Creating chaos, one extreme of greed seems to lead to another. While us, citizens of the world. We just keep working. I felt like this for a long time a very long time.

I so agree - our MPs sound like children in a playground. As an ex teacher who used to run debating clubs - I would not have tolerated that behaviour. These are the people representing our country on the world stage? No wonder we are a laughing stock. Meanwhile, us peasant s just get on with it as best we can and support each other.

Our two party system in the UK doesnt help here. As could be seen from the budget yesterday there was an effort to protect "working people" from "nasty businesses"....wish they would grow up and realise that we need both. We cant just have public services as employers.

We all just have to keep doing the best we can. Nothing (and no one) is going to fix all the things going on anytime soon. There's too much going wrong. Too many decisions with total disregard to the peoples lives. From the big things to the little things. It likely will be a rough winter for most. Keep on working, keep on sharing and most of all keep on loving.

Canada here - we well could have a conservative government in the next election - and they are a little Trumpy.

@@barbaracarter6726 Could be the best thing ever for you! I've watched the news for Canada, and it seems your leadership needs, um, an upgrade. Just like ours (U.S.) does. I wish you the best. I've been shocked at how a basically stiff upper lip country has gone the way of the liberal agenda in recent years. Never would have thought.

i work at co-op (one of the worst for shoplifting atm) and today is my last shift before a long weekend off! thank goodness -.-

At my local large co-op the tills are usually shut,with just one girl serving in the cigarette booth. She can't even see most of the shop to see who is stealing what.
@1Strawbz12 сағат бұрын
@ Ive heard co-op are stingey with staff & with most things so leave the shop short staffed, so no wonder shoplifters are having a field day. Ive suggested before just get a security guard from 6-10pm on some night but nope. Always the way that those who choose to work get punished. So i dont blame people who claim benefits by choice

What's going to happen is that your 35 trillion dollar debt is going to balloon above 60 trillion dollars and that's not counting unfounded libities socal security pensions medicare you are spending 100 trillion dollars every 90 days it was every 100 days get ready for the banking bust

Here in New Zealand it's getting worse for all the important things ,,,health ..education.. cost of living...food here is now the most expensive in the western world....but the rich are getting richer and the poor to the average person are struggling

Were you expecting a magic wand to be waved? Given the 22 billion black hole they inherited just four months ago I was pleased carers were actually thought of this time, they usually get ignored in budgets. Also pleased the NHS are getting more money, makes a change after years of it being underfunded and business rates lowered for hospitality and retail should help our high streets.
@DarrenSmith-tq2xz8 сағат бұрын
The NHS is finished we need to dismantle it and start again get ready for the banking crisis which is going to be 2008 on steroids banks are insolvent no deals no loans and no deposits get any extra cash out of the bank only keep enough cash In the bank to cover direct debits and mortgage payments we are going to see the government debt and deficits rise holding gold and silver is money everything else is credit these 2 assets can't bancrupt and has no counterpart risk
@caroldaviddaviejohnson22258 сағат бұрын
100% agree. At least the markets haven't tanked and mortgage costs shot up again as happened after the disastrous Truss budget! Any frugal person knows if you're in debt you act responsibly and budget, not hand out willy nilly. Same with a government budget! Most peoples concerns were with NHS, care, housing and schools. Money is being pumped into those things! Doesn't take people long to forget what happened after a totally unfunded, crazy budget before does it? Or read the new analysis of the last government's budget by the OBR that they wanted kept under wraps. Massive financial hole that was kept hidden, so I'm guessing the new Chancellor was pretty scunnered by that revelation, and likely stymied some budget plans. Can't be healthy to be approaching things with such negativity online either, it's so doom and gloom, instead of drawing on the positives that have still been possible within a massive 22 billion black hole!

Take some advice and put your hard earned savings in too gold and silver these are units of wealth that can't bancrupt and has no counterpart risk fiat currencies are going to 0 intrinsic value gold has made all time highs in every currency in the world silver is the most undervalued asset on the planet and guess what the billionaires are buying it as well as central banks get ready for the banking crisis which is going to be 2008 on steroids banks are insolvent no deals no loans and no deposits
