This is Episode 5 of Season 6 (1986/1987), episode number 102/120 for the program, entitled "Teeth"
This program was intended to be supportive and educational for young children, preschoolers (age 2/3) through young elementary school age (8/9). It can be enjoyed by anyone. This is the original and unedited program, as it appeared. Features of this program include puppetry, live action hosts, interactive games, songs and the discussion of feelings and learning how to deal with them.
Summary: In this episode, Jodie and Jeff film a video promoting good oral health habits, Sam has a cavity and goes to the dentist and Muffy gets braces. The reasons why we should take care of our teeth are explained in an easy to understand manner. The fear of going to the dentist is addressed, and Muffy has a fear of being teased for her braces and is assured that braces are common and that her friends won't see her any differently.
