I think the word you were looking for was, 'Vanguard'. They were disposable, but for young Germans it was an honor to be picked, become well trained and placed.... I love that they do this. My nephews watch the history and their reward is the music video. They run home from school to get started. 12 & 14. A letter was sent home to my SNL and my brother. Short version was the boys were told to stop talking about it at school. Context...my brother was career AF 25 yrs. Retired and joined Civilian Army for 10. LOLOL They had no idea what hit them at a school board meeting. My nephews spoke and then my brother. Standing O. My family is Armed Forced back through many generations in America and beyond. I dont begrudge anyone their opinion. War is war and I dont know if it will ever end?? Thank you ALL who served and will serve. Thx Arias Please continue this. The stormtrooper from star wars werent meant to be cannonfodder, but they are mainly protrayed that way so the heroes can live and win. The stormtroopers in universe are suppose to be elite units.

Indy on the piano has been something that’s been planned for a couple of years. I do believe it was proposed in a Sabaton history video just before Covid hit. So the fact that indie was able to be on this cruise and actually complete what was proposed to do, especially since at the time they were just talking crap with each other at the time, but actually have done it now. But they also ran into each other while the band were touring in France and they were going to some of the historic sites in including Verdun and on the fly Indie did a few Sabaton history videos on site at Verdun while he was filming for the Great War channel. It was cool.

They used Auftragstaktik which means small unit tactical allowance or small unit tactic. If the commander in charge of a unit sees a opportunity on the battlefield the officer in charge are given the choice on how to accomplish the mission. They used this alot during WW2 which made germany an devastatingly hard foe.

Great reactions! I recognize that same excitement that i felt myself when i first stumbled across Sabaton somewhere on KZbin a few years ago. That feeling of "this is something more than just music". Resist and Bite is a personal favourite. Great song, great story and ofc it comes with it's own episode of Sabaton History.

And the icing on the cake, we learn about the making of the song. Kudos to Sabaton!🤘 I have to get on that Sabaton Cruise boat next year! They've just announced that they've sold out again... Can you believe it, they rent a ship, going Stockholm-Tallinn every year! Been doing so for at least a decade now.

seems rather logical to me, you're in a bad position, you need to make decisions quickly in order to survive. you check your options around you and go for the best one
