Yet, when she needs help, I'm shamed if I don't drop what I'm doing and give it? And what happens once the help is received? If I'm lucky, I'll get a thank you before once again being forever ignored by the woman. No, women today have forfeited all chivalry privileges. If we're not friends, we're not going to interact. That's the world in which we now live. Case in point: Has anyone heard of the man who pulled over, repaired a woman's broken down car, and then had a sexual harassment and stalking charge called in to the police once she got home safe and sound? Fortunately, security cameras proved the man's innocence and kept him out of jail. Yes, this happened a few months ago.
@nothanks1239 Жыл бұрын
It's sad that some women are like that, but not all. I remember when my car broke down in the middle of a small, but busy road. I had no idea what to do, but a few men jumped out their car and helped me. Towed me to a safe place (one guy even steered my car for me, because I was nervous about the tow line). They made sure I had someone I could contact (I had a breakdown service line) and they went on their way. I was extremely greatful, they really did save me in that situation. I'd have been helpless. I definitely wouldn't recommend any man to tow a woman to her house; either to a mechanics or another safe area so she can contact someone; just so the man is kept safe. I'd also make sure you had someone else with you, so there is a witness. Due to the traffic behind me, there were plenty of witnesses. The men were kept safe and so was I.

Xena a disabled or elderly person has nothing to offer me yet I give up my seat. This has nothing to do with gender or getting something back. This is common courtesy. Americans lack this so much.

Bring pregnant is a lifestyle choice. Nothing to do with me. It's not a disability so get your own seat because I'm keeping mine!

Think its got some truth to it that wearing black clothing makes you look slimmer, to me she isn't obviously pregnant, though probably people sitting down have a better chance to see she is pregnant. As for needing to use the bathroom, yes give pregnant women priority!

I thought everyone was now officially equal in the post-Obama world. Why the need for chivalry? Are you trying to say women (pregnant or not) are weaker NBC?

I think if you tried this in the Bay Area on BART, you'd not find the same manners. I understand BART riders are notorious for ignoring pregnant women.
@celiafrostborn2 жыл бұрын
If they are polite about it sure, if your a jerk about it and complain if they refuse because of that rudeness then you are sol. It's about being humble, because their is no law that says someone has to give a seat to you or help you in any way. You have no privilege because you have a child in you or any other reason for that matter.

Must be some drug I didn't take because I'm not attracted to her at all. Look up a picture of her without makeup. She's got skin blemishes, stringy hair, and a huge forehead. She is not pretty. I don't even like her eyes. Anyone can cover up their face with makeup, but not a lot of women can look pretty without it. Now Lynda Carter back in the 70s, 80s, and 90s? SHE was beautiful without makeup! Jennifer Aniston? Beautiful even without makeup. Olivia Wilde? Not so much.
