I'm usually not a fan of Megyn Kelly since she can seem smug and insincere, but she clearly cares about this issue and she is great interviewer here. Notice how she respectfully allows the lawyer to have his say (I.e., lie), but still keeps him on edge and blows his arguments out of the water. They really should have let her do the Omarosa interview.

So glad Catherine got her daughter out! Catherine is still an incredibly beautiful woman who is smart and compassionate. Thank God she got her out! I may buy her book. We need to start having laws against these dangerous and harmful cults. They are not a mainstream church or synagogue, etc. Churches synagogues do not charge you or do the things cults do. You are free to leave.
@heatherh54506 жыл бұрын
I agree with you, though I do want to correct one thing...synagogues DO charge membership dues and other fees.
@foxibot6 жыл бұрын
Heather H You are right, and it is causing problems in their religion because some people cannot afford them. Just read an article about it. And if you don’t pay you cannot do certain things or have certain privileges. That is too bad, because I think religions should operate on being charitable. So if you can’t afford to give you should not be shut out. An organization can charge membership dues, but a spiritual place should operate on donations(without pressure) with their congregation. Spiritually believing in a God gives you the freedom of being able to pray anywhere and read the Bible. I am glad that Christians give out the Bible’s for free, and I think for any worship place to get tax exempt status, they should be doing charitable things for their congregation(and others) and as far as money goes, they can accept donations and have fundraisers, but not be able to charge members. I read about these evangelical churches making people sign contracts and it was disturbing. If they missed church, or did not tithe, etc. or disagreed with their leadership they could be basically ex communicated. To not allow your congregation to question your authority seems dangerous to me, almost like cults controlling their members.

Has any anyone brought a successful case against Islam against a survived suicide bomber who has tried to blow hundreds of people apart with a suicide vest in the name of Allah??????? To the best of my knowledge - no.

he’s just doing his job. A lawyer has an ethical obligation to set aside their feelings and put forward the best possible defense they can for their client. And that’s a good thing. Everyone, no matter what they’re accused of, has the right to a legal defense by competent attorney. That said, Keith Raniere is a monster and I’m sure Marc Agnifilo’s best efforts won’t keep him from getting what he rightly deserves: decades on federal prison. But Agnifilo isn’t being slimy, he’s doing what he’s supposed to do.

I heard the NXIVM podcast when Josh interviewed Marc (the lawyer). He was EXTREMELY convincing and almost made me think on Keith’s side! I’m not allowed to see your talk to her it’s been eight years now I’m still praying and I have hope that her eyes will be open and she will walk away. I believe I know the difference of a cult now. They do not want you to have any dreams of your own but only the leader gets to have his dream and fear/guilt trips you into following it or else.

Mark Twain said, "It's easier to fool someone than convince them they've been fooled." Even more when you have "skin" in the game. That's why pro football players go broke chasing bad investments with worse ones. And that's how people join a self help group and, after paying lots of money and the giving of their time, chase a return on that investment. Trying to get that return creates a "blind spot" for evil. Instead of cutting your losses, you double down.

The lawyer is nuts but the problem here is that he has to abide by the law and its difficult to prove brainwashing vs being a willing participant because the reality is, as an adult, we are all responsible for what we do. I had a friend in my teen years that was involve with the Boston Church of Christ. I was spending the night at his house over a Thanksgiving weekend, and his parents were afraid to let us leave the house. I basically said if anyone in that group approaches us they are getting the ever loving you know what kicked out of them. His Mom let us go out of the house. Thankfully my friend was already on the road to recovery from this and had walked away from the Cult by this time.

3 women out of 150? One woman would have been enough To see that they were forced To do so. When you force someone, even if it's just one, it's already a reason To make him go behind bars

I get a feeling that Catherine’s daughter is still up to something. She knows others are in prison, so she obviously doesn’t want to join them there. She still is likely a danger to herself, but more importantly, to others. In fact, Ireland is probably more powerful now that other leaders have been apprehended.

She is actually royalty- as her Mom is on both sides. So, the courts may tread carefully with her as she could tie this into European royalty

They will say what you want them to because they are afraid to do otherwise. It's no different from any other cartel sort of mine set.
