to make the helmet easy yo put on and take off, what I did is I snipped off the supports that made it built in leaving a majority of the back pieces so that it had a key point and then I used a crystal clear glue to glue the two helmet pieces together, so you can take them off and put them on as one piece.

If you found the right person you could probably get a retractable visor it's just that springs need to be put in place and the wires would have to be moved or changed and you'd probably need new bits on the inside it would just be a bit expensive so this is a much better way

I need to replace mine on the Utility Belt counterpart,because his helmet won't stay shut,I could see that it looked like a part in his helmet had cracked,so I'm going to have to order a replacement one.I'm hoping to have a helmetless Buzz soon,either Toy Story Collection slightly used EBay,or Takara Tomy Real Size Talking that can speak both English and Japanese.

Exactly! Personally I felt the Disney store limited edition figures a little more accurate with the paint and karate chop action but the head was really awful. Wish we could post pictures on here! Looks pretty good imo now. :)

Sorry to say but stores don’t sell collection or signature collection anymore. I think they might come back when and if Toy Story 5 comes out. They seem to only be in stores for the movie promotion then after a year or so they stop selling them. The best times to buy toy story toys was in 2009-2011 (for Toy Story 3 movie promotion) and then in 2019 (for Toy Story 4 movie promotion), outside that time it’s hard to find, only eBay. So they only sell them for fast profit during movie promotional times. I really think it’s just a business strategy to cash out after the hype of a movie release.

I have an idea for a customization people can do how about taking apart the communicator arm and taking out the wires from the wrist communicator so I won’t have any sound because I feel like in the movie it didn’t have sound and when his arm came off your sisters screw kind of thing so I believe that arm doesn’t have any sound effects just The laser and when he moves around you can hear a ratchet noise licking strange things and does anybody remember the Hasbro bus light-year try making a comparison with that and the one from the commercial in the movie when the kid was holding him you’ll see what I mean and maybe we can try looking at the making of Toy story to see all the parts for the Buzz light year in the movie It’s like what they said to see how the toys are going to move and the parts

I just used a small screw driver make sure it’s smaller like from an eye glasses kit that comes with little or mini screwdrivers that should do the trick.

I did not have to unscrew it, I just PULLED HARD!! I know that is is irresponsible, but both of the pieces go back on easily with out unscrewing.

back half is a snap in, the front is the one that is complicated to attach and reattach because it has holes but you can't slip them out unless you unscrew him or break that front shield.

For the life of me I cant get the screws out. They keep stripping my screw driver. And I'm using screwdriver I used to replace LCD on phones. Is there another way to do it? The screws wont come out and its stripping. Getting irritated.

that is not good...you may of used the wrong screwdriver because the right size would not strip them....I wish I could help you but I can't over the computer I would ask someone around you who knows about tools or fixing things and ask them to help you get the screws off but be VERY careful opening Buzz. IF you want to...just break the face shield off by pulling it hard with a pair of gator grips or like I said asking someone to help you with it if you can't get it..Hope this helps and sorry you're irritated, I would be too.

Okay so I did this, but the thing is, his interactive mode basically breaks the figure. For me, when I click the blue button, his head moves and talks but most of the time it will stop midphrase and reboot essentially. I don't lnow if there is a fix to this but it really sucks.

Yeah that’s why you have to be extra careful that’s the risk you take when modding a toy. I have had messages from many people who did it successfully like me. This is the first time I hear something went wrong with this mod. This is also why I don’t mod toys for people I don’t want the risk of damaging a toy that isn’t mine. When modding toys there is always a risk of something breaking or going wrong. Sorry to hear this happened to yours.

Lol I’ve done this to mine but I didn’t have a to unscrew anything, it comes off easily and snaps right back into place. I thought it was meant to do that lol

The Disney store buzz lightyear with the button to retract halfway. It doesn’t retract fully but it’s better than having to manually do it

Ya know there's a much simpler way to this 🤗 if you really don't care about the helmet just pull on it until it pops out of place then you're done it's a lot easier and faster this way 😉 atleast in my opinion anyways 😅

Yeah that is true but the front part would break I think if I just pulled it out, I may put the helmet back on why I was super careful with him to do it this way, didn't want to ruin anything in case I changed my mind. If it worked for you then cool! I am always just extra careful but that is just me.

I am not doing a video on it but I checked my Buzz and you can't mod him like signature collection because there is no visible screws to take him a part. You would have to break the helmet off...no other way which I don't recommend you do that...I am keeping my helmet on the Disney Store Buzz I have.
