Grayton Beach State Park has a huge variety of things to explore. You can enjoy a picnic at numerous pavilions, take a hike on a sandy path through live oaks, pines, and palms, fish in the coastal dune lake, and relax on the sugar white sandy beaches with emerald water. But keep a keen eye...because there might be critters around any corner. :)

My boyfriend is a park ranger at Grayton Beach State park! Funny y’all saw more snakes in one mile than I have every time I go lol I have come across a black racer on that trail. The water moccasins usually hang around wet areas along the lake lol

Sounds like we got lucky! Or, my wife would say unlucky. I always enjoy seeing wildlife, even if it is a snake along the trail. It is such a beautiful area and we hope to go back again sometime soon. Thank you for watching and leaving a comment!

Spent many weekends camping at Grayton Beach. The camping is divided into two loops... an older loop that accommodates smaller rigs and a newer loop with much bigger sites for larger RVs. The campground itself is very small and usually fills up rapidly due to its location on Route 30A. Getting reservations for peak times can be difficult. We love to take the bike trail along Route 30A that runs past the entrance to the park.

Grayton Beach as well as Top Sail or less than an hour from our home and you're right, where else can you stay on the beach for $30 a night? The second loop with sites closest to the beach/water went through renovation late last year and we were fortunately that when we stayed in Jan they were complete. I think the back loop is more for smaller rigs with the front loop handling the larger ones. Another great feature about Grayton is the bike path out on 30A. You can ride just a few miles on your Radbikes and find some nice restaurants. If you ever get back to the area, try Top Sail. Very popular so you have to book early but it's worth it.
