Lee & Robbie: As I watched this exciting video a fond memory came to mind. I caught my PB Muskie in northern WI. It was 44 1/2”. I think she was a “greenie”, but can’t say for sure. Caught it using a large Shumway spinner bait. It was amazing and a memory I won’t easily forget. Thanks for taking me down memory lane! Safe travels, God Bless!

Been fishing the east fork of the Chippewa for 47 years now, so stained water for sure. Used to be a bucktail guy but, in the last several years, the Shallow Raider and gliders have been the deal. Caught 2 mid 30’s fish on my weeklong trip last month. One was a tiger. Haven’t seen one in about 10 years. Heading back up the 3rd week of October to sucker fish. Can’t wait.

I have really enjoyed watching your guys films. It’s something me and my 6 year old wake up on the weekends for breakfast and watch an episode before we head out musky fishing. We have been fishing super clear water lately and it’s pretty cool to be able to see as much as you can but I do love being able to get more fish to go in the 8 on stained water. So far clear as been fun but I like the stained water more.

WI beast. Outstanding guys. Thats a fish to remember. Clear waters are fun to fish when you can see them. But i definitely catch more on dark waters. More specifically dark water in clean environments. Northwoods water systems being fed from the great lakes. Before industry garbage makes it into the water. I love using top waters over long transition areas over 2-10 feet. That way you can figure out what depth they are holding in. If they are coming from the shallows. You can target the shallows. If they are showing up at boat side on the 8. They are deeper. Adjust lures to that depth.

That's another beautiful musky release. Awesome catch. I personally prefer the gin clear, deep lakes of Hayward WI area, although, they can be very tough to fish, even durring favorable conditions, the rewards are usually worth it. Tight lines!
@alanwhitsitt51962 жыл бұрын
Something about flowages. Here in WI. they are beasts! Even if they are under 50", they are FAT! Also, love how we musky guys will release a fish, then turn around and grab our food. LOL. Hey, fish oil is good for you! LOL
@gregoryhunts30063 жыл бұрын
My favorite water to fish is any water I can get a line in. Here in the Driftless area of Wisconsin we have both clear and stained/muddy water everywhere, just not a ton of muskie waters. But the trout and walleyes have been biting fairly well lately.

Personally I love those iron stained waters of Northern Wisconsin. Just something about how it's clear but dark just let's you know you're in the right place. From the Chip to Turtle its may favorite because they can literally be anywhere any time and its your call on how you want to target them. But as always they'll let you know what they want. What about you guys, do you prefer to throw what you want when you start your day or do you go based off reports/what hasn't worked the day prior?
