Starting at 6:52 - I commend Todd Bridges for responding with the understanding of his dad’s era as opposed to any Black American man being a father now or 40 years ago. Why does everyone say that Todd Bridgs is the last survivor of Diff'rent Strokes? Sure he is the last of the main cast but what about Danny Cooksey and Mary Jo Catlett who still very much alive! Not to mention Shavar Ross and Nikki Swasey who was a staple for the show in the later seasons.

Unscrupulous people found ways around the Coogan Law, unfortunately. Gary Coleman’s adoptive parents found a loophole and were able to go to court and siphon funds from Coleman’s trust several times. He was stunned when he turned of age to acquire his trust and it was far less than what he expected. He had to take his parents to court!
