Awesome Todd thanks for posting this! I consider myself pretty creative with 6 strings but I could never come up with something as off the wall as this. Beautiful. Thanks again.

Do you recall what pedals you used back then? There is a sound you produce that I hear, or I think I hear, that seems exclusive to CA bands. Early RHCP, Oingo Boingo, Fishbone are some where I hear it. It's especially in the clean tones. It could be my imagination, though.

It was a while ago but I think during my Primus days I went directly into a Mesa Boogie mark11c. No pedals.

This makes me so happy! Thank you, Todd, so much for sharing. Absolutely have always loved Primus guitar since I started playing bass in middle school in the early 90s. Last few years kinda got serious about playing stuff I liked (now that youtube exists and I have a chance of learning this stuff!) and learned a good amount of Les' stuff as best I could but had a devil of a time finding guitarists who recognized the gold that's in here for guitar. To the point I want to learn the guitar parts these days soon. Pure gold man. You're a hero. Please more!! This is awesome.

I finally know what it is your playing. I've been trying to train my ear recently but to no avail. Primus early guitar riffs are straight bomb. I want to know how you did the riff for riddles are abound tonight by sausage.

Les plays a lot of wild stuff but you might be more out there (in the best way of course). I am wondering, who influenced who the most?

Les and I started Primus when we were both 20yrs old. Our last Primus recording we did together was titled "Sausage". When we regrouped in the 90s we called the project Sausage.
