Those promises went right out the window as soon as Todd came back from Ireland. Blair promised to not be afraid, be honest, and trust. As soon as Todd came back, she lied to him because she was afraid to trust him. Todd promised not to shut down, to share his feelings, and to never let go of Blair. As soon as he saw her with Patrick, he put up a wall to hide his feelings and he began to push her away.
