In 1979 i met him in a bar in uptown Chicago. I took him with me to an after-party, back then they were called, "house parties" Todd was quiet and shy. Very polite and respectful. I think he enjoyed himself just observing everything going on. He seemed happy. Especially bcz not a single person there recognized him and I had the feeling to keep it that way. So i introduced him as Andy. I have many famous people stories over the years. I used to go out a lot back in those days.

I ALWAYS had such a crush on him!!! His soul! And I thought he was gorgeous! I met him twice in Colorado. I'm even more shy than Todd, so the first time I was introduced to him backstage in Boulder I couldn't speak.... he offered his hand and all I could do was sing the words, "Hello, It's Me..." DANG! He was so sweet- he laughed and joked with me kindly. He's just such a genius and I NEVER expected to meet him! Story of my life....Sorry Todd.

Me too. I thought the world of him. He went down a few notches after I heard him make a thoughtless comment in an interview about the physical appearance of the late, great Laura Nyro. I still love his music. We all mispeak at times.

I never heard of him and dont remember this virgin of the song its believable though a faulseto voice not to much soft sounds a like soft rock with some soul because of his faulseto voice mandy was good too and Deborah cox but i think this one is better because when a man sings songs like this it show more vonerability if i spelled it wright more sensitivity Deborah cox did have that in her voice you feel it when you sing a song you have to believe that person singing it thats one of the key points but whatever happened to this singer its like steve perry from journey he just had that voice strong voice his range was sharp theres only a few that can bring that emotion to a song i dont know about him later but this one is quite good it should be rememberd thanks for the video

That's very true, but the woman featured in this video is actually his ex-wife Karen Darvin. His first wife Bebe Buell is Liv Tyler's mother. And although Todd raised Liv, Aerosmith's Steven Tyler is her actual father.

Written by Todd Rundgren We can't play this game anymore, but Can we still be friends? Things just can't go on like before, but Can we still be friends? We had something to learn Now it's time for the wheel to turn Things are said one by one Before you know it's all gone Let's admit we made a mistake, but Can we still be friends? Heartbreak's never easy to take, but Can we still be friends? It's a strange sad affair Sometimes seems like we just don't care Don't waste time feeling hurt We've been through hell together La la la la, la la la la Can we still be friends? Can we still get together sometime? We awoke from our dream Things are not always what they seem Memories linger on It's like a sweet sad old song
