Todd is a WIZARD A TRUE STAR! He had the right to call an album that and his voice and persona have both stood the test amazingly well. I will never forget the year of 1990 when I was 14 years old, got turned on to his albums, and our stray mama cat had kittens under the bed and anything Todd made her happy and now I'm 48 and this man made me a serious musician myself. Talented beyond measure and an iconic artist still with us long after Prince, Bowie, and the others we lost. Todd is the greatest.

According to the internet the Gramercy Theater has a capacity of 500. I didn't see any empty seats, so at least that. He played there 3 nights in a row so 1500 over 3 nights is probably right.

Unfortunately, Todd doesn't like to play his hits at concerns and prefers to play his 'deep cuts'. Evidenced by a concert that I recently attended where he failed to play "We Got to Get You a Woman" and "Bang the Drum All Day". Additionally, played a combined version of "I Saw the Light / Can We Still Be Friends / Hello It's Me". He also had no interaction with the audience and only briefly introduced the band members prior to the encore. Disappointed.
@joerecordsNYC4 ай бұрын
Shame. I always look at the setlists of a tour prior to going so I have an idea of what will be played. This particular Todd show was a "telling my life story through songs" 1st set, and an album side of A Wizard, A True Star for the 2nd set. I made sure I went in the night he was playing side one because that's what I wanted to hear. 1st set was all hits and deep cut favorites so it was the best possible show for me. He always let's you know what kind of show he's doing so a little research goes a long way. Hope you have better luck next time. Peace
