Yes, it was an excellent and beautiful evening of music with Todd and Daryl. I was in 3rd row center...and when Daryl moved to his grand piano, unfortunately the stage was set up that we could not even see him behind it, as you may have noticed with my poor camera work. Todd's amazing performance that evening made me quite emotional, especially with his song selection.Todd was my very 1st rock concert when I was 14, my birthday present with Mom and Dad, and If I Were To Say it was a religious experience, it would be an understatement.🎵❤🎶

The fact that people ruin concerts by standing there and looking at their phones the whole time is only made worse by the fact that they then try to capitalize on it, through (in turn) ruining KZbin by dumping millions of crappy videos on it.

Aye. Even worse, last night in SD we had 5-6 sixtysomethings pile into the seats behind us twenty minutes late and they would not STFU prattling back and forth seemingly louder than the amps. Made me long for a group of disinterested Gen Z’s quietly ignoring the show, preoccupied with their iStuff. 🤣

Saw the show in Bethlehem and Todd was spot on!!! It was not Daryl Hall's night - complaining about he sound, mumbling incoherently, singing off key.

Holy crap. Just saw them in Indio, CA Saturday night and exactly our experience. Walked away worried about Daryl cognitively. Todd was a pro as always. We met him in the hotel lobby and got a photo. Todd was friendly and gracious.

Love Todd, but singing Marvin's "I Want You" IMHO did not cut the mustard. Only other artist to do this song justice was the late Robert Palmer, who happened to also do a very respectful version of Todd's "Can We Still Be Friends."

I love Todd and this show and his performance here...but I do know what you mean. Not certain, but I noticed his first apparent live vocal change during his first appearance on Daryl's House show 2009... pushing sound through his throat and stiff jaw and nasal passages, if what I'm saying even makes sense. Not sure if it's age, health or a singing technique that he is using to hit notes and preserve his performance voice. He still amazes me. Most of our heroes singing voices have changed a bit as time goes on. So very Happy we have them and are still doing this for us.🎵❤🎶
@Bronte866 Жыл бұрын
That’s interesting about you noting a change on Daryl’s House. I saw him on there once and Todd sounded like 1974 to me, and Daryl also sounded right on. The sound is perhaps not as organized and properly mixed as it could be as well. But I would give a lot to see this show still.
