How many pop songs over the years deal with a topic as broad as the limits of human empathy? Not as many as you'd think. Thank you Todd!

Flashback to the days I turned on MTV, and this was playing almost every time I switched to the channel. We were also a family that was late to the cable TV craze.

What I wouldn’t do to go back to the 80’s,,,,I remember growing up in a small town in the pan-handle in Texas, nothing there but an arcade, roller rink, and high school football, we couldn’t wait till nighttime when we would get some AM channel on the radio from Chicago,,,lol, thank goodness for cable,, How times have changed,,,

This was my first exposure to Todd. Someone mentioned this sounding like Hall & Oates, which is funny, because when "Your Kiss Is On My List" came out, I was shocked at how much it sounds like "Time Heals."

He's actually personal friends with Daryl Hall, funnily enough. You can find them doing casual recording sessions, in Hall's house, of their old songs here on KZbin.

In 1996, a band I worked for tried to project Dali paintings behind them. Two things worked against them... they needed a brighter bulb and they were projecting on a black wall behind their stage. Yet, I thought... remembered a music video from 1983 with a song in 1981 by Todd Rundgren. Then also remembered a scene from the movie, Toys, with Robin Williams using the same images on a fake music video. Still.. I love this song. Gordie

If you're bleeding, Then everyone can see you're bleeding They can call for the doctor, Who'll provide what the diagnosis says you're needing Then he'll take away your pain But if your heart, Your heart has been broken And you don't wear it on your sleeve No one can tell, Your hell goes unspoken But there's one thing you must believe Time heals the wounds no one can see Time heals the wounds that no one can see If you're crying Then everyone can see you crying And they all sympathize But it just doesn't matter Though they may be trying, They can't feel the hurt inside You can't go on, You've gone to the limit And your life seems to slip away You're on your own Alone you must face it And tomorrow's so far away You got to hold on baby Got to give it time to heal Time heals the wounds that no one can see You must believe what they say is true It do's wonders for ya, yeah, yeah Songwriters: Todd Rundgren

Is it me or does that sound like it should be a Hall and Oates song? Rundgren sounding oddly like Daryl Hall in this.
@the9-2-5outlawdoestech94 жыл бұрын
Maybe because Todd Rundgren, Daryl Hall and John Oates are Philadelphians, and Todd Rundgren produced albums for Daryl and John including War Babies, the self-titled album where they appear in Glam and makeup, and possibly, Bigger Than The Both Of Us.
