Todd was the closest mind to Walt in the whole show IMO. He saw 10 steps down the line. Maybe both of em have sociopathic tendencies but its why Walt took his side on this situation. The difference is Walt could probably never actually pull out a gun and kill Drew Sharpe. But as soon as Todd talks about his connections, Walt thinks they could be useful. Jesse and even Mike think they are intimidation.

Lots of people have these quirks in their speech though, its a very realistic thing that people fall into the same pattern of saying things over and over. Mike for example often says "Here's what's gonna happen...", and without him giving orders or making demands youre gonna be doing what he says, because Mike is in control and only left one viable outcome. Try and pick a different course of action and you get to see what happens.

Jesse became a criminal because he kept on digging a deeper hole for himself by consistently making poor choices. There were a few times when he tried to get out, but he kept on getting dragged back in (mostly because of Walt). Jesse's right. They should have had a discussion when the kid arrived. They could've paid him not to talk and sent him on his way, and even if the kid did blab, remember the crime was done such that nobody would notice the missing chemical. He might as well be talking about mirages and gila monsters. BUUUUT... Todd's spur of the moment decision wasn't entirely incorrect either.

It's a criminal empire. One that is structured around stealth. So the kid is a loose end who could place them at a certain place at a certain time. And has seen their faces. Not just disposable soldiers either, he saw the BOSSES. Obviously since the bosses are actually there, you should defer to them for how to proceed, but if there are no protocols in place, how can you blame him for making a split second decision in your favor?
@nightgodd7865
@nightgodd7865 3 ай бұрын
I mean, in the context of the show though, Jessie is totally right in wanting to get rid of him. He knew Todd was a psychopath, he saw that for Todd it wasn't a split second decision, it was an opportunity to be a sicko who can get away with killing a kid.

A kid disappearing means that now there will be people and law enforcement combing that part of the desert, uncovering evidence of their presence and activities that would otherwise have never been noted. Any tire track or broken branch is now a lead to be investigated. Todd's action created a greater risk. Someone with connections in prison only means that he is associated with plenty of people that have been caught, just like they are trying not to be. It does not inspire confidence. @nightgodd7865

The thing that's interesting about this show is how if you look at it from Jesse's perspective. He's really in the wrong business. He's the only one who still has a soul and isn't out of touch with his humidity. But it's also why he's a threat to the people around him in that business and can ruin things. He does things on a emotional level, but that ruins how things go forward. The things that people do in the crime / drug/ mafia Business are normal to them. They have long since forfeited their morals for money and power. Jessie just simply is in the wrong business and should have left a long time ago. But of course Walter tired to talk him into staying. But yeah. From everyone else's perspective in the show. If you are in that world of crime. It makes total sense. Never forget that Gus , a beloved character of the show, threatened to kill Waters child. The fact of the matter is, all though some characters are maybe more likable than others.They're all really bad In the end.

Because it realistically shouldn't be a problem so long as they don't get directly involved with them. We've seen that Mike is pretty good at solving problems, so a small group of white supremacists likely just doesn't rank high on his list of potential issues. It is a problem for a guy like Walt because he approaches them naively and doesn't fully understand what they're capable of, whereas Mike is likely fully aware and prepared for that possibility.
