shooting 200 speed film at 400 means you are underexposing by a stop, not overexposing. Nice video

Although I’m not interested in shooting film myself, I always learn from film-oriented videos like this: especially yours because your running dialog really unfolds your process, which I find illuminating, regardless of medium.

Shot some Gold on my RZ today and developing while I watch. Fantastic video. Wish me luck.

If you were intending to overexpose by a stop wouldn’t you have set your meter for iso 100? Ie opening up your shadows with a longer exposure?

Great piece - nice to see you shooting film! I just got a pack of Gold 200 last week and just waiting for the right time and place to shoot it. I'm gonna split between the M645 and Fuji GW690!

I love that you said that about Jurassic Park in the beginning because that's why they used Washington as the location for the on location stuff and it's my #1 reason to check it out.

Nice! I prefer every day kind of film that handles things well even in a very bright sunny day and this film seems like something to pick up and just have some fun! Keep up the good work.

The 50 mm f/4.5 ULD is my favorite wide-angle for the RZ67, 24mm equivalent.

Agreed, a really good lens! Most of the lenses for the RZ are fantastic.

Nice video! For some epic wide RZ67 lenses, I’d recommend RZ 50mm ULD or a 65mm L-A if you want maximum sharpness and detail. The images rendered on those lenses are mind blowing. The 50mm is pretty wide though, so for something more flexible the 65mm L-A is a safe bet.

Nice images. When I shot film it was Provia or Kodak Porta. Gold 200 always felt off to me.

Nice video! Yeah, the lack of a prism really makes things wonky to line up! Also, handheld on a moody day is difficult because of mirror slap. You did nice work with it though

I shoot the RZ67 with a Sekor C 65mm F/4.5. It's an RB Lens but works great on the RZ.

Gold 200 seems like a good cheaper alternative to Portra 400. Love your content always

Try the Mamiya Sekor Z 65mm (RZ) f/4L-A wide angle its equivalent to a 32mm full frame .

Todd, this has nothing to do with this video, but I'm just about ready to rip all of my hairs out trying to figure out and reference from a thousand YT videos with differing information on how to grade C log from the Canon EOS R, just the R. From CST to the actual BT709 lut from Canon, I don't know why my image looks so nasty. Any help or direction would be much appreciated.

If you shot at 400, I think you underexposed it.

CORRECT.

Setting film speed in camera to 100 would have been over exposing by 1 stop. 400 is under exposed by 1 stop.
