I love finding great stories read aloud for kids on youtube. They're free and an excellent brain break activity. Always Sunny Read Alouds For Kids is my go to.

I so agree with your that having some structured "school time" for toddlers increases everyone's quality of life in comparison to trying to constantly just keep pushing them to go entertain themselves and stay distracted. I have a bunch of "The Montessori Method" workbooks and love them, but I don't actually have that basic skills one! I think I first heard more about the Gentle + Classical Preschool from one of your videos, and I've really been implementing that more into our routines for the past few weeks and its going REALLY well. Thank you!

I learned so much from this! Thank you so much for sharing what you've learned and these awesome resources. I had to replay to make sure I heard you correctly when I heard "character and catechism"! I haven't found any other specifically Catholic homeschool mamas until now - so grateful to have found you and be following you!

My daughter (almost 2.5) loves the kumon sticker books and the gakken play smart sticker/ workbooks. They have been a huge hit. I have been using the blossom and root year 1 for our curriculum. I also bought the playing preschool curriculum but I'm holding off on that for now.

So awesome. I’m glad you keep it relaxed. I have a 4 year old (5 in 2 weeks) and a 2 year old (3 in 2 weeks). So relaxed preschool is in full swing. I’ve really loved Preschool Math at Home by Kate Snow. So gentle, easy, and my four year old has especially enjoyed it. He doesn’t even realize we’re doing anything but playing, which is awesome for his age.

This is amazing! Thank you for sharing this. I’ve been kind of lost in this department. There are so many resources, it’s easy to get overwhelmed 😅

I purchased the Blossom and Root early years Vol 1&2 it’s a very gentle preschool curriculum. I’d say it’s a mix of Charlotte Mason and Montessori.

Thank you for the resources! I’ve been thinking I want to do a little dedicated “school” time with almost 3 year old. She is delayed on her speech and we had just started looking into speech therapy when Covid happened. So I want to work with her one on one with letter sounds so she’s ready for preschool next year.

My twins had speech delays too ... I still can't understand them very well! Letter sounds sound like a great ease in to preschool :)

Science Mama that makes me feel a little better. My older daughter was so clear with her speech at this age and so we get worried about Eliza. Since it sounds like she has her own language, most people can’t understand her and even I have to really work with context clues to understand her words.

I feel so inspired. My son is 4 turning 5 in April. I was thrown into homeschooling due to Co-Vid. However, I've really enjoyed being a part of his learning experience. I basically follow his lead and look forward to a more structured learning experience next academic year. I felt totally lost when I first started, but after watching encouraging videos like yours, I feel more confident and informed than ever before. My son loves math but is hesitant with writing and phonics. I'm following his lead and introducing concepts slowly. I know 5 years old is Kindergarten age so I want to make sure I find a curriculum easy to use, fun to learn with and rich with information. Currently, I'm using one a little too advanced for my 2 yo but too easy for my 4yo. I've had to supplement with other resources which has been the fun thing about homeschooling. Thanks for your time and encouragement! Inquiry: have you heard of the Torchlight curriculum? If so, what are your thoughts?

I’m so glad you are following your sons lead for school work - I’m currently doing the same thing with my 5 year old, waiting for her to show a bit more interest in reading 🤷🏼‍♀️. I have heard of Torchlight and I love their book lists!
