I know for a fact, that prisoners are not permitted to attend the funerals of their victims, even if they are the parent of their child victim, so this makes no sense at all. Quinton is HER victim! She should not have even been allowed to speak on the matter…that judge is pathetic.
@Lokisdottir19642 ай бұрын
Are the family going to throw him in the trash too? I don't see them spending money on funeral or grave, not based on their ridiculous pleas for Leilani.
@kd63242 ай бұрын
Lelani had a say on whether Quintin's remains were released for burial because they have been held for forensics during trial. She can have still held them (or argued to have them held) for her appeal. Instead, she released them. She was not asked who to relase the remains to---she just blurted out that she wanted to release them to her brother. Courts responded that 'who they are released to' will be determined by another party. They may allow the brother, if noone objects; but, ultimately, she has zero control over that decision.

Billy Jo deserves no sympathy. She was supposed to be the children's main carer because it was clear her daughter was incapable of taking on the task as 'mother' Leilani was only supposed to be given supervised access to the children. Billy Jo was not forced into that role, she accepted it and failed miserably. Billy Jo's words were self serving and pathetic to me. If you grow up with a narcissistic parent you can see through the BS and what she was serving was a whole lot of BS.

Tim Dean was a rockstar advocating for precious baby Quentin. He was on point with every single thing he said to the judge before sentencing. The judge was so disappointing, she barely acknowledged either attorney or victim impact statements. She did not speak to Leilani and give reasons for her sentencing decisions To me, she did the bare minimum . Leilani Simon hated that child and after murdering him, discarded him like a piece of trash. Why did she get the possibility parole when all she did was blame other innocent people, cause the taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars. As the prosecutor pointed out, she showed no remorse not a single tear for that little baby only tears for herself. She showed him no mercy and it sends the wrong message to society that you can do something so heinous take zero responsibility and still get out in parole. This judge really sickens me, but of course Leilani is just evil. Look at her eyes look at her face when people are talking she is one cold woman. She also could’ve been charged with abusing poor Quentin, but I think everyone thought murdering him and discarded his remains would make sure she never spent another day in the free world. There is nothing more this incredible prosecutor could’ve done.
