I moved across the country a few years ago, I never wore shorts to church until I moved to a tropical climate where everyone wears shorts and flip flops, it’s a casual culture and way too humid for long shirts or pants. It’s just normal here and not disrespectful at all.

My opinion as a grandmother and great-grandmother and as a sister in the Lord, on what is modesty for a two year old boy who still wears diapers. This two year old is no longer an infant; most likely he is probably a big boy now. He is no longer wearing onesie's as an infant would so it makes sense for him to wear big boy slacks. Most children's clothing have elastics around the waist making it easy to remove in an instant. Modesty and respect is the issue whether it is a woman, man, or child of any age. The building does not make the body of the church, and we all know that, but now that it is being used as a place of assembly for the people, it deserves our reverence and respect for the very reason we meet there; to share the experience of meeting together as one with reverent song, teaching, prayer, and community.. If we bring what belongs to the Lord, down to our level, we lose sight of Him. We wash the dirt and dust off of our bodies and clothing and prepare ourselves to show our respect to our Lord and Savior with hushed tones and reverence. Grandma from Texas

I would ask the question, "do you take your child out to the store with only a diaper on?" That would give more clarity into how he thinks about this question.

Well, I would say this dad needs to be more concerned about his son's comfort than his own convenience. In the Winter time wearing only a diaper on this legs would not at all be enough warmth and even in the Summer time the air conditioning can be chilly in buildings. The dad needs to question if he himself would feel comfortable (temperature-wise) in church, if he were wearing only briefs with his shirt and shoes. I believe young children need more warmth than adults, especially since they can't say, 'I'm cold'.

0:23 I wouldn't talk down to single fathers. Most single parents are single mothers, and I'd be led to believe that due to this, single fathers _generally_ do a better job. We don't know how young this man is. Don't knock him down!

I was convicted a while back to dress masculine. I look at pictures of men throughout the 1800's and early 1900's and they were built different. Go to your local Walmart and look at the average man. We are called out of this world and expected to be leaders. I don't agree with all their docrine... but look at the Amish. The world shold be looking in at us and seeing something different... somethng better.
