@@Hillsidesitter Hello. Sorry, I have just seen your message as it was in a reply here. It is made by SGerste on Amazon but it is possible it isn't available from them in the US as I am in the UK. Here is another try at the link below. @@Hillsidesitter you've probably already found what you were looking for by now, but for anyone else in the US looking for the lockbox type toy, search for Melissa and Doug versions. There is a barn with various locking doors and it comes with animals to put inside. There's also a house with several locking doors, a set of attached keys , and a set of people to accompany. Melissa and Doug also has a busy board style option. It's a flat board with several locks/ types of locks and latches. They're made well and have been well loved and used by 3 children so far!

These are all good ideas. My girls are nearly 15 months and some of the things that they like are fold up kiddie tents with a tunnel, super lightweight and easy to store behind the couch or somewhere like that. They also like music or toys that make noise like maracas or a hand drum. I recently bought them the Melissa and Doug kids xylophone but I haven't given it to them just yet.
@BairnandaBackpack4 жыл бұрын
A tunnel is a brilliant idea! I will definitely look into that. That's so funny, I actually just bought Ben a xylophone for his birthday as he has become pretty into instruments lately (he found his dad's harmonica) so I thought it could be cool to channel that interest too. Do you have twin girls? Wow - supermum!

@@BairnandaBackpack www.amazon.com/dp/B075TVD253/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_apa_i_xdR4Eb0Q4PGY9 This is the one we have. The 3 parts connect, but we usually use them separately/spread out. They have taken to getting them out every day. I don't completely close in case, just fold flat and stick at end of couch by wall. Then in the morning they will go grab them and bring them to me to set up!! I have identical girls! Love your channel. Oh and this one on Amazon says ball pit.. but it doesn't come with balls. Maybe we'll add them someday, but not yet.

Jigsaw puzzles at 20 months?! Amazing! Do You a toy rotation ? Do you let him choose his puzzles? I love that you hold the stacker sideways ! I didn’t think of that, to cross the midline!
@BairnandaBackpack3 жыл бұрын
Hey Jacie. Yes, we do a rotation so that there are one or two puzzles out at a time. He has favourites that he'll ask for now too. He is still obsessed with them at 2 and a half years old. 😂 Happy playing!

Hehe. Thanks for your super sweet comment. I hope the other videos are helpful! Ben just got Magna-Tiles for Christmas and he is playing with them for around an hour a day. Amazing and yes, so many learning opportunities! And yes, plastic, but as you say, a toy that he will play with for years and years and then can be passed on to others as they are such great quality. Thanks for such a great suggestion and lots of love back to you from Scotland!

To be honest, the ones that are the biggest hits are the free/homemade ones. The cork posting into the plastic tub is something Ben still loves now at 2. 😂 Also, we took old bits of wood and made him some blocks of all shapes and sizes and this is one of his top toys now. Safe kitchen utensils are also the biggest hit. Children will play and be creative with everything and anything they're given. Sending so much love back to you from Scotland. ❤️

That's a shame. Every toddler is just so different. My little guy is now 2 and a half and still loves most of these. It's generally so difficult at the moment being stuck at home day in day out with the same toys. It's hard to keep things interesting. Have you tried rotating toys so they seem 'new' when they come out a few weeks later? That works well for us. I can't wait for playdates and toddler groups again!

Why is he sitting on the table?
@BairnandaBackpack3 жыл бұрын
Hey Marie. In his play space, we are OK with him climbing and sitting on the table. He was confident getting up and down from it and he knows the boundaries elsewhere, for example, he knows that he can't climb on our dining table. I hope that answers your question! 😃
