Do the three characters represent particular ways of engaging with subjects? Berd always seems enthusiastic but clumsy, excited to create but ignorant of existing work, not very proficient, careless of best practices, and resentful of restrictions. Bot(s) seem very knowledgeable, but stiflingly critical. They rain down comments on the animals' mistakes, constantly put Tode and Berd in boxes, and disappear into endless introspection when trying to define themselves. Does Tode represent a synthesis between the two, someone patient and disciplined enough to learn but still motivated enough to create?

@@red_rassmueller1716 I'm not totally confident in Defining everything in a rigid way, but I think that: Tode falling asleep after Spellular Automata may indicate that the current sand projects have reached a sort of local maxima and that Tode requires a pause to "dream up" something new. Bot disappearing in Define Define may represent the decision to further broaden the Sandpond Saga with a series of videos and experiments, like Arrows, that are even further afield than normal.

When I was little, once a year we would drive 10 hours to stay a for a few days at my grandparents' place. In the mornings, I would wait quietly until my grampa would wake up. He was always up before the others, and the mornings were when we would spend time together, just the two of us. He would let me put on his shaving cream (and let me make a handprint on the mirror), and while he has shaving, we would play a game. "Marco! What are the rules?" "Hmmmm.... no singing!" "No singing???" He pauses for a moment, and begins to hum "No humming!" He pauses another moment, then starts whistling "No whistling!" and by now I'm giggling like a maniac. Another pause, and he starts shuffling a little back and forth "No dancing!" He makes "ooh ooh aah aah" noises. "No making monkey sounds!" And so on. Every morning the rules were different. It's a miracle he never cut himself with the razor. ... Grampa? Grampa, you can bring the singing, humming, whistling, dancing, and monkey noises back. Grampa?

Allowing the zoom-in into arrows seems like a clever configuration option but honestly I haven't deduced what it's for. If we try to automate a creation arrow, there's a missing parameter, namely where to put the new creation... but putting things inside the creation arrow seems like a way of telling it what to create, not telling it where to place stuff.
