Im crossing my fingers that i got the 26 for speaking. If not, i will just try again. I didnt prepare much. I watched your videos few days before my exam and practiced speaking seriously 2 days before my exam. I also didn’t get to practice writing. I just followed your tips. So just hoping for the best. My brother studied languages at the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center in California. The pace of study was intense. Students had to master the language course in 36-64 weeks. Psychologically it was very difficult, but fortunately he was helped by Yuriy Ivantsiv's book "Polyglot Notes. Practical tips for learning foreign languages”. The book " Polyglot Notes" became a desk book for my brother, because it has answers to all the problems that any student of a foreign language has to face. Thanks to the author of the channel for this interesting video! Good luck to everyone who studies a foreign language and wants to realize their full potential!

Hey juva thank you so much for your videos. They are awesome! Still, I got a question. How would you use your time? How many minutes on skimming the passage reading the question Reading the passage in detail and finally answering the question
@juva2 жыл бұрын
Hi Felix, I'm so glad you like the videos :). It's difficult to give an estimate because you may need more time for some questions and less time for others. Generally, you have between 1 and 2 minutes per question. Try to find the information in the passage as quickly as you can and don't spend too much time on a question even if you are unsure. Considering the current TOEFL Reading test, I'd say it's not absolutely necessary to skim the passage. If you skim, spend no more than 1 or 2 minutes on this. Hope this helps :).

Hello, in your second tip, do you recommend skimming the passage or the whole text?
@juva3 жыл бұрын
I'd recommend skimming the whole passage which means the whole text. After that read the question carefully and go back to that particular part of the passage that is relevant to this question. Since you have skimmed the whole passage before you will know where you can find the information. That's why skimming the whole passage in the beginning is important. It should give you an idea where you can find the information.

Hi Ammoula, you're welcome! Are all the questions specialised in a specific paragraph? I mean the test will always indicate the paragraphs where you are supposed to find the answers? Because it is really difficult sometimes.

Hey :) Check out the playlists I created for TOEFL Speaking and TOEFL Listening, you should find everything you need there. Just go through the videos step by step. If you have any questions, put them in the comments I'll be happy to answer them :). Does this help?

How much time do you suggest we should spend on 1 question each? Considering the fact that, we choose a wrong one and intend to go back on it later if time remains?
@juva2 жыл бұрын
If you spend about 1 minute per question, you will have enough time to go back and check your answers.

Hi Bubacarr, so great that you want to take the TOEFL! How much time you need for studying depends on your current level of English and the score you need. Think about that, this should help you to figure out whether that date is good :).

Do you recommend reading the whole passage first, before going to questions ? Or read paragraph by paragraph whole answering questions ? Also what's the strategy to find main ideas in the passage?
@juva3 жыл бұрын
First, skim the passage so that you have a rough idea about the topic. You don't have the time to read the whole passage in detail. After that go directly to the questions and read the relevant part of the passage in detail. Hope this helps :)

i'm only afraid of the limited time we have to to the toefl how can i know how many minutes should i give for every question. in the reading section? Thanks
@juva2 жыл бұрын
Hi Joel, that's an excellent question! I'd recommend this: Take a few TOEFL Reading practice tests to get an idea of how much time you need for each question. If you need more time than you are given, practicing more tests will help you become faster. Hope this helps :)

I know this question is weird, but how much should we allocate to skim the passage (or) can we skip this part, if the question takes us to the part of passage
@juva3 жыл бұрын
That's an excellent question! I'd recommend investing about 1-2 minutes in skimming. Some questions point you directly to the relevant part but others don't. If you feel that you don't need to skim the passage, you can go directly to the question.

do you have any tips for the summary questions?

I think this is the most important tip: Read the relevant paragraphs carefully and make sure that you check that the answers match the information given in the passage exactly. Some answers sound correct but are wrong, they are intended to confuse you, so be very careful.

Hello! I hope you can answer these two questions: 1: Do you know if the question "Directions" where you have to select THREE answer choices that express the most important ideas in the passage is still used in the home edition? 2: and about all the questions of the reading section, Is specified in the questions to which paragraph it corresponds?
@juva3 жыл бұрын
Hello Paula! As far as I know this type of task does not appear in TOEFL Reading. Regarding your second question, the relevant paragraphs are not indicated which means that you have to read the question and then figure out where you can find the information in the passage. Does this help?
