I was quite weak in these sections but I used your templates in the test day and it boosts my score significantly. In the listening section also, I used to practice your videos and I was so confident in the test day that I would get 25 in listening. But I mistakenly left unfinished some questions by mistake ( not because of time management ) and got 20. Anyway, your videos were extremely helpful for my preparation.

Hey, sorry for the interruption. I am a 24-year-old student and I was selected for the Global Exchange Program through Erasmus to study at a University in Japan. To be honest, it feels like a dream come true. However, there's an issue: the university requires a minimum score of 79 on the TOEFL, and I recently took the test and scored 74 (11 in reading, 19 in listening, 23 in speaking, and 21 in writing). I would like to know if there are any ways to improve my score to meet the minimum requirement of 79. The challenges I faced in the reading section were mainly related to 1) time management, 2) vocabulary, and 3) the similarity between answer choices. The most difficult part was the questions where I had to put sentences in the correct order or identify where a specific text fits best in a paragraph. I’ve already started watching KZbin videos to improve my score, but I’m scared of failing again and having to pay the same amount for the third time without knowing if I’ll score better or worse than before. Thank you for your help.

After talking with hundreds of students about a rescore, I would say less than 5% of cases are successful, in other words, you can ask for a rescore, but it's very unlikely that it will change anything.

hey Josh, you are incredible. I have just a question should we use complex sentences or clear and simple sentences?
@TSTPrep2 ай бұрын
Another great question. If your level of English is high and you can use complex sentences with little or no errors, then that is better. However, if your writing is less than fluent, simple is better because too many mistakes in a complex sentence will cost you more points than a clear, simple answer.

Hey Josh, how long do you recommend to write if I want to earn the most points?
@TSTPrep3 ай бұрын
There is no maximum length for your response. According to ETS, your integrated essay needs to be somewhere between 150-225 words. However, we find that students who write between 250 - 300 words score higher. As for Academic Discussion, aim to write 100-120 words or more. Hope this helps!

Dear Josh, how big difference is if we use advance over basic template on our score? Thank you.
@TSTPrep3 ай бұрын
You can earn a high score with either template. The advanced template is designed for students who continue to struggle to get higher than a 25 and part of the problem might be that their language is too simple, so the advanced template helps a little. In general, though, the most important part of your writing score is your own writing outside the template.

Hii sirr, how many marks i will get for this sample answer . Please give me your feedback as i have my exam after 3 days.. The reading and lecturer both address the chances of sending humans to Mars. While the author mentions the obstacles humans could face during this space mission such as food and water scarcity, medicals issues in zero gravity region and effects of harmful solar radiation. The lecturer, in contrast, disputes these claims. Firstly, the author highlights that there would not be enough space in the spacecraft to carry food and water required for this two years mission. The lecturer challenges this by stating that to grow food we could use the modern agriculture technology such as Hydroponics in which water is used instead of soil. He mentions that plants grown by this technique will also supply the oxygen and the waste water could also be recycled to clean water. Secondly, the author contends that when astronaut will prone to zero gravity he will suffer major medical issues such as decrease of muscle mass and bone density. The lecturer counters this view by pointing out that by doing regular exercise we can maintain optimum muscle mass and by consuming multivitamins and calcium, the threat of low bone density would be overcome. Finally, the author asserts that earth's magnetic field will be unable to save the spaceman from harmful solar radiations. The lecturer, however, argues that sun emit harmful radiations periodically and are more dangerous during the peak afternoon hours. Additionally, the lecturer mentions that spacecrafts can carry with them a light weight shield and a device to detect the rays. When these harmful rays are active, a scientist can shield himself from these rays.
