Can I please repeat the warning to be careful near hot toffee/caramel/sugar? My Gran was making toffee in the late 1940s and went to save it when it overflowed the tin as sugar was on ration. The toffee mixture stuck to her and continued to burn her, due to it's stickiness and she was badly burned, so please, please be careful!!

For someone with quite a sweet-tooth, I don't think I've ever had a toffee apple in my life. Though I think I vaguely remember my mum being a fan. Hope you enjoyed them xx
