Great looking manatee 😊 Where I live (SE US), they are native. It's not only recreation boats that are harming them (propellers - manatees move very slowly), but they are also very sensitive to cold waters. In the winter, they gather around the springs that are a bit inland (accessible via rivers fed by those springs) and local power plants that use water to cool them, dumping the warm water back out to the Gulf of Mexico. Though they can be found in salt water they drink fresh water, so they are also in danger of pollution run off from streets and lawn fertilizers.😔
