I would recommend fell stinger over gyro ball and bait fell stinger whenever possible. You’re not ever gonna have much reason to use gyro ball. Gyro ball = 8 thundershocks and a fell stinger and a wild charge = 9 thundershocks and a +1 wild charge will 1 shot pretty much anything that doesn’t resist it. And fell stinger raises your win rate against the meta from 72% to 80%. Anything that gets hit by a gyro ball will get hit just as effectively by a +1 wild charge.

Your assuming they will shield your bait. There is very little need to shield the first attack since it doesn't one shot most any pokemon in the meta. If someone calls the bait then togudemaru is in trouble due to it not being very tanky.

Reis featured Togedemaru a couple weeks back from open GL. NiteTimeClasher also used it against Reis at Arlington as well.

Grass types, stunfisk and vigaroth will cause togedemaru problems. I've faced a few togedemaru with very little problems. Galvantula (which i use on the lead) is a good alternative

I use a Shadow Magnezone in the lead - pretty similar! My team isn’t great, but it’s working for me well enough atm: S Magnezone, Dubwool, Altaria

I ran toged, fross, lanturn. Took me from 2000 to 2500+. Reached vet today in a span of 5 days. Tog is OP lead. Very few run as lead dont know why.

tip - if you're not going to use togedemaru in the lead (which is a waste), your lead pokemon needs better shield pressure than Altaria. I put Vigoroth in the lead and it usually forces most to shield once, then on the switch double shield Togey and go to town with the Wild Charges. I also use Fell Stinger because it adds to its win % against the meta and helps bait shields while boosting and not dropping the defense. Not seeing many Aurorus (because my team doesnt have flyers) or a need to use Gyro Ball. 1 boosted Wild Charge seems to do the trick against everything.

@@forsettisc2 trust me. Try to put a bulky pokemon that has shield pressure in the lead (dubwool would be perfect if I had one). Togedemaru will do the rest. Giving it teammates with fast move pressure is mid, and defeats togedemaru's purpose because whats the point of getting shields down if your other pokemon are just using fast move pressure and dont have nukes? Togedemaru is the one with the nukes, it's working backwards.
