That was really well done! I did not expect the combination of the traditional wind instrument doubling the guitar solo, and I just wanted to say that as a Led Zeppelin fan, I really enjoyed that. Well done, sir.
Not gonna lie, I was expecting this to be kind of silly, as youtube covers often are, but it was actually so good. Getting so hard into it on that tiny flute in the third movement, hoo boy... absolutely loved it.
I finally learned that acoustic guitar and electric guitar are traditional Japanese music instruments.

@@togihideki From a scholar of European Art Music, would I be wrong to assume that there are notes the traditional wind instruments cannot play, or can they also reach all twelve notes as required by European music?
@dikbozo28 күн бұрын
@@togihideki Thanks for this info. you sent me down a hole into this instrument and as I thought I saw a double reed in it, this was confirmed. I found much scholarly detail and see it as possible instrument to include in more modern chamber works, perhaps as an alternate to the oboe or other shawms. BTW the arrangement in your recording is a perfect example of what I am talking about. You have raised a possibility of the song being done in a more orchestral setting.
That was nice! One of my favorite songs from growing up. I was able to hear the words even though they were not being sung. Guitar playing and wood instruments, the combination is excellent. I saw it live by LZ from the 5th row on the floor at the Myriad in Oklahoma City in the mid 70's. This version ranks right up there!
