Hi, I bought a carburetor for a 9.8 horsepower machine (accessory, not original). I enlarged the "isolalor" plate part number 8 in the spare part catalog to the size of the carburetor hole. I believe that by drilling a hole in the isolator plate, the machine would have 8 hp. I couldn't find a 6hp spare parts list, but I suspect that the 6 hp model is a throttled 8 hp model and the throttle is in that isolator plate that had a really small hole. The carburettor has a larger throat diameter in the 9.8 hp model than in the 6 and 8 models, so simply changing the nozzles will not increase power, but the fuel mixture would be too rich. I myself have been surprised by these cheap accessories for carburetors that have worked as well as the original ones. in general, it has not even been necessary to change the settings.
