Useful video but I hope no plumber leaves the area in such a dirty state - it is much easier to deep clean those awkward filthy areas with the units out of the way - takes only about 5 minutes to clean and leaves the area looking like new

How to replace a pan connector, which you didn't show and you say this was because it was difficult and yet in the next breath you say it's simple. It was either difficult or simple, if simple show us how. Feel totally duped by this title.

That's a large pile of crap at the back of the bowl. Why didn't the owners at least try to clean it up before you had to to go there. It really is disgusting🤢🤮

Did you just push the connector onto the pan as I’ve just installed a straight connector Mac 1 and it’s still leaking. I’ve noticed a slight flat spot on the toilet spigot, could this cause it to leak?

Yes just pushing it all the way on should be enough but if there is an imperfection with the toilet spigot then this will cause a problem

@@tapintoplumbers1571 Bodgey but effective solution for this is to clean all the parts thoroughly and put back together with good quality sanitary silicone using a twisting motion - leave for 24hours before use. Real bodge but 100% effective is to use 'Plumbers Mate' in a similar way - it is sold in most hardware and big DIY superstores

Because the previous connector was leaking, there will probably be a build up of calcium on the ceramic glaze, causing the seal of the new pan connector not to seal to the glaze. Give it a clean, and if you can still feel the calcium deposit, gently rub it with green scourer loaded with wash-up liquid. Takes a few minutes, but gets you back to the glaze. You'll feel the difference.
