Whoa. That RF 1.2 comparison was really interesting.

I know! I wasn’t planning on including it in the final video initially but was very surprised when I saw it.

this lens looks awesome ! The original tokina vista are one of the most underrated cinema primes IMO , great to see them making a vintage inspired set !

I agree completely.

The color in the vista p's are warmer than the other lens shown. Is this a lens characteristic or a white balance change?

Ouhhh these are VERY interesting - thanks for the vid!

Love shooting on my Helios - but it's not fun or practical for professional work - thought about getting it cine-modded at some point, but it's expensive.

Yes I love my Helios as well. But it’s a very soft copy and wouldn’t work at all for most professional work.

@@EdProsser You might want to look at the Dulens set. They very much seem to be a close copy of those older lenses but are very nicely made for regular work.

@@CaseyPreston yeah I've heard good things about them, never seen them in the flesh though! Not sure how easy they are to get hold of.

I'd like to see the flare with a harder, spottier slice such as a flashlight. I'm curious to see how much green there is in the orbs. I love the Vista lenses but I've always disliked how much green there is in the flares.

What camera was used in the first sample footage shot outdoors?
@carlyates2487 Жыл бұрын
Canon R5c But with a more stylistic grade which is unusual for our channel.

Comparing the Vista-P side-by-side with the normal Vista, the 50mm doesn't really make a huge difference, but I'm guessing the 85mm would show way more swirly characteristics than its normal counterpart. Overall, the Vistas are gorgeous lenses and I've been wishing I could afford them ever since they were announced.
