Why We Don't Teach Readings (yet!) As mentioned in the introduction video to this series ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/iHy6o4qIe96Zj9E ), it is my philosophy that it is a WASTE OF TIME to learn the readings for each kanji in isolation. I explain WHY in that video. To learn how to read kanji, I think it is best to learn WORDS that contain that kanji in the context of SENTENCES. We WILL be doing that in this series, after learning the meanings and writings for the 118 kanji in the JLPT N5 and Kanken 10 tests. So fear not! You WILL be learning how to read them in the near future. 😊

My story for the 空 kanji is: "The giant *legs* appeared from the *SKY* and made a *hole* into the *roof* of a *construction* building."

And Charles Leclerc goes for the victory, but he loses by a small thread's width off as he was late in turning in for the last corner ending up behind Verstappen (again)

Hey Guys, just realized that this series is only a Month old. Huge appreciation to everyone sharing their stories and tips on these Videos. They were really helpful. And a big Thank you to the ToKini Andy Team and Andy ofc. I never became a member of any KZbin Channels private Website. But after watching only 3 Videos of this series. I was so impressed with the methods of teaching and Andy's joyful wholesome Attitude. That i signed up for the 10$ Membership on the Website. Please keep the Puns, Stories and Dad jokes. They make learning so much fun. I have watched and practiced the entire series till this point within 3 days and i think i will finish the series tonight. May the Aliens bless you all. Humble and Kind Regards S.T.R :)

I miss the "page turn" sound effect during the quiz. That let me know when my time was up if I was heads down trying to write the kanji, ha

Holy crap. I didn't even realize we missed that! So sorry!

I have a question because im confused should i learn hiragana and katakana first then kanji or kanji first
@ToKiniAndy10 ай бұрын
Definitely hiragana and katakana first. =)
@euchale10 ай бұрын
To add to Andy's answer: Hiragana/Katakana is the "alphabet" of Japanese, so you should definitely learn that first. Kanjis are coming later, they are basically "images" that replace hiragana in text, which can make it more readable, provided you know the kanji. Depending on who the target audience of the text is, you will see different amount of Kanjis. So if you are reading something targetted towards children or someone just beginning to learn, it will have barely any Kanji in it, while a text in a novel or a newspaper article is likely going to have a lot.

Sorry! I find music tends to distract from straight up educational content like this, unless it is picked very very well. And I'm not good at picking it, so I have decided to leave it only for the quiz.
