Mary's Blood is my favorite female metal band, eastern or western, it is hard to think that it is about to disappear due to a terrible promotion of their record label and the success of Nemophila (which I love too).😭

I didn't learn of the band until it was nearly over but I still miss them terribly. A shame that Saki had to move on to Nemophila to make money (or whatever the reason). Now that Saki has left Nemo, there's a chance Mary's Blood could return (right).

Too bad they are breaking up. I wish Saki well with Nemophila but Nemophila doesn't move me. I will miss Eye's powerful vocals. Hopefully, they come back but if other Japanese bands are any indication, I wouldn't hold my breath.

Imo it would take a lot of unlikely joined circumstances for Mary's Blood to reform, at least in a foreseeable future. First of all Nemophila would have to turn out as a failure.... Same feelings as you here, I even can not listen to Nemophila as I hate the singing/screaming in there. :)

Crossing my fingers that you can stay together--I guess it all depends on whether Saki can handle double duty (she's already doing multiple projects, so it's not impossible...?) I am just grateful I got to see you live once, at Metal Matsuri. Besides the great show, I remember the audience singing Happy Birthday to Saki!

The real test will be touring. Studio work and videos won't be a problem but needing to practice for 2 tours at once might be too much. It would probably be easier to replace Saki in Nemophila over Mary's Blood so she might stick with Mary's Blood.

Question is : Too much for one SAKI ? Mary's Blood before Saki could also be called Mary's Blood MK I (known from Deep Purple MK I to VIII). Now we have (with Saki) Mary's Blood MK II. They could use a different guitarist for the live performances (while Saki plays with Nemophila). That would be Mary's Blood MK III. My suggestion is : Narumi Suzuki (ex Destrose). She's a great guitarist and needs a job in a metal band. If Saki has more time, she comes back and we have Mary's Blood MK II again. Everyone could be satisfied and Saki would not have so much stress.

Obviously that was not part of the plan... Technically you are right, Saki could have been replaced as guitarist, they just had to pick support guitar Yashiro who is just as skilled and has doubled so many Saki's parts. But that would be forgetting about Saki's charm and charisma: read all fan comments about Mary's Blood...probably 75% of it is to praise only Saki. And more importantly Saki has been the band main music composer since she joined. She has put her musical footprint on Mary's Blood and created almost all of the most catchy tunes, though all other members also composed for the band. So she actually was difficult to replace. And more importantly management company did not want (or could not) support 3 major bands (they also have Show-Ya which is quite big in Japan), so Mary's Blood was 'sacrificed' to keep the other ships sailing...
