I heard this game was actually in development for some time but was put on hold then Zero One was rushed in hence how he has little to do in the story. Even more insulting though is we are in the 50th anniversary of Kamen Rider and we are getting no games

The entire thing about premium sound edition being a lot more expansive than the regular edition is purely because of licensing thing they have in japan

Fair enough, it still doesn't excuse not even having the full songs paying over double the original asking price for the game now.

The game isn't the beast quality... but easily the most fun I've had playing a game so far in 2021.. I can form change combo all day so fun

Sadly kamen rider isn't much popular for it to have more budget and for more games to release (outside of japan too with english translations on premium sounds editions)

This game could've easily been a W x Drive game because Fuuto is next to where Drive lives ( I forgot the name)

I personally feel like this game is great. For a rider game that is. Sure there are many flaws to it but I had a joy mashing the buttons and changing to different forms. I do agree that premium sound is a little on the pricey side and I actually did buy it but I already bought it so I can’t do anything about it. My only complain is that since I played it on the switch, everytime I pulled off a rider kick the game lagged like crazy on the explosions. I hope they go back to the climax fighter formula and expand upon it. I just want to have a Kamen Rider game where I can just enjoy playing as various Kamen Rider from across the franchise giving me the joy like Smash Bros with ton of replay value

So is that the actual game constantly stuttering, or is that from how it was recorded? Because thats not a frame rate, that's a frame beat.

That is unfortunately the game itself, I have an El Gato 1080p60fps and every game I've recorded has been 1:1 with what's on the screen

Oddly enough, switch handheld mode seems to be the best version of the graphics. Gives me pause and makes me think it was originally a vita game made from around the time it was no longer supported, kicked around a bit, and eventually 01 was added.

For quite a while after this game came out, I was trying to find out whether you could get the Premium Sound Edition with the English translation, but no info I was finding ever gave me a definitive answer (I don't think you could ever get both with the Battride War games, so I thought it might be the same here.) This review shows me that you obviously CAN, so I just wanted to check up on it. You have this on a physical disc, right? Is it the Japanese release or some other country's?

The version of the game I have is the Japanese version. It comes with English subtitles built in. Yes it is physical

About the only version of the game I heard didn’t have English subs was the Hong Kong version.

The sad thing about getting it for PS4 is that you technically don't have to get the Premium Sound Edition. You can literally press the home button to go to Spotify while you're playing, choose the song you want, then go back to the game without paying that extra money for the "licensing" that AVEX wants. I do it with Battride War Genesis and it works wonders tbh lol

@@evaunit2005 PS3 had it better for some anime games. Yes Spotify wasnt around then but even better: you could get a flash drive, load up any MP3's you want, even transfer it to the PS3 hard drive, and some of the games could access them within the game and use them as part of its OST. Examples of games that could do this were Jojo's Bizarre Adventure All Star Battle (I made an entire playlist using songs from actual bands the characters were named after), and Another Century's Episode: R which used various anime mecha shows. I'm not sure if the PS3 Kamen Rider Battride War games could let you do this though.
