Make sure to turn REMINDER ON - I wonder if anyone will be able to tell the difference with 8K. It was filmed with the SONY a1 camera, CInetone color profile, WIDE light-weight 18mm Samyang f/2.8 on a RONIN SC gimbal, RODE Wireless GO ii mics. The Samyang lens is only 145g for Full frame and looks great. I'll try the next 8K video with a 35mm SONY GM lens.

John this new video resolution is damn freaking cool man. I open this on my 8K TV, me and my family feels like we were there. The lens is magnifecnt too. We can see much more with the wide lens. The cons are only the huge file size, upload time and the processing time. Othern than that the video is cool man. Can't wait for more 8K reso.

It seems dark John, just feedback, still love the videos, I believe your future is more in the documentaries, yes more travel and initial expense, but displaying different crafts etc, you do it well.

I LOVE THIS FORMAT SO MUCH MORE, please keep doing video's like this instead of live KZbin streams, the quality is so much better and we get your amazing insider knowlage that only you can give, please keep this up as the livestreams always used to drop in video quality to just unwatchable levels...THIS IS SOO MUCH BETTER!!!

I like this style of video. Quicker to produce compared to the main channel videos yet not as distracting as the regular Go videos with the live chat (that I'm personally not a fan of). 8K might be overkill but it is probably good as archival/B-roll type of things since you can "zoom in" on stuff in post production. Lens seems nice, the angle makes me feel like I'm walking down the street myself.

Love the new 8k vision. A huge improvement. Makes me feel like I'm actually there. Also the shorter length video. I think ~30mins is a good length for many of us who don't want, or can't watch the longer 60min+ videos.

John, the video quality is GREAT throughout the entire video. Not once did the quality deteriorate or cut out. The 720p that cuts out or drops in video quality when you lose signal has made some videos in the past difficult to watch. This video clear and sharp all the way through! On the subject of Asakusa, I'm gonna make it a point to visit Nakamise-dori on my next trip. I want to see this and Sensoji Temple while the shops are still "mom and pop" shops, before they are replaced with larger chain companies. Also, I would like to say that I appreciate that you are bringing Japan to those who can't come during the pandemic and travel bans. However, no video can quite take the place of experiencing Japan in person. I have been to Japan twice in the past 10 years, and the feelings you experience while there just can't be captured in a video. In fact the video just makes me want to go back even MORE!
